Managed to actually pick up a brush after 9 or so years, so I thought I would start with something where I loved the sculpts first before I decide which of my other stuff to get going with, moving away from mass ranks of figs to just painting for my rpg group needs.
Although I now think I need a better camera :)

Not bad, considering you had to work through nine years worth of rust! You might want to get some dull cote to take off that shine, and that layer of (semi?)-gloss will wind up giving some nice depth to the colors.

Always nice to see more of Steve's stuff painted up! Now if I just had time to finish my Layla...

thanks, the only varnish I had was an old can of purity seal, I forgot how much I hate it for individual work. I'll definitely be picking up some dulcote or similar.
Might plough through some old GW stuff to clear some more cobwebs.
