Micropanzer Combat suit with Hasslefree heads.
« on: March 30, 2012, 05:54:08 AM »
here's a new Combat suit with a hasslfree head. I'm planning on painting them black and white and giving them pirate markings. I know that a person couldn't quite possibly fit inside one of these so if that really annoys you then we'll just say they are war veterans that have had limbs blown off and are now torsos inside a suit.
They will be hoods on, just the hood off pic for a better view of it.

Nice idea and back story.

The only thing that bothers me is the shield in front of the guy's face... a robot head could possibly see through it with some sort of special vision equipment/radar etc but I think the shield either needs removing or replacing with a screen (even if it is an opaque, painted-on one) for a human pilot.
The light at the end of the tunnel is just someone with a torch, locking the gate.

A good idea Inso but I'll be leaving them as is. It does look in the way definately but if ever I decide to change the heads back for some reason to another one I'd hate to have them cut up as a result. Plus I've already splashed a load of paint on.  :D Not too happy with how this one is looking though at the moment.

here's a look at the first one of 10 that I have. 2 more are ready to be painted, one with an orc head to fit the multiracial theme of my army. Also good for the AE bounty priate crew I have. Still waiting for my local hobby store to have some decal paper in store.

So, if these guys are "veterans" with missing limbs, but still fully alive and not on some life sustaining, insanity inducing, giant casket like machine thing from a distant wartorn future, and are much smaller than said machine, can we call them 'Dreadnuggets'?

I guess you could. I still think of them as normal people in suits myself. I just put that out there for those that think they are stupid because of the proportions of the suit compared to a regular person. Personally I just think they look cool and don't care about functionality.

I think he can fit in the same way Ripley fitted in the powerloader (click).

Either that, or amputee in dreadnugget.

That, after all, is really what it is all about anyway.

Cool!

It looks a lot like a Gunslinger battlemech.
