Arturus, SciFi Roman Legionnaire
« on: February 11, 2012, 08:17:23 AM »

Arturus dies a lot but keeps coming back to die again in different ways. More stuff on the shop in the next few days, but we're all geared towards the show in Kelham Hall tomorrow so no time to add stuff to the cart! (Weather report says it'll be quite nice today and tomorrow so no snow etc to worry about)

He looks a lot better in real life, for some reason my camera has given him huge hands and head! Foreshortening, etc.If anyone can recommend a great camera for taking pics of minis, I'm all ears. I've got a Sony Alpha and a Lumix from a couple of years back. Neither seems optimal.

Looks cool, not really my thing but still very cool. So what else is for the cart? I'm all ears :)

Some new troopers and a couple of variants of Mr Sinister, which we're calling Mr Smug. Lots of Troopers coming soon, assuming I get the chance to sit down in the next couple of weeks and have at them - got helmets etc cast up now so it should save loads of time. Just a question of making new bodies in various poses and all the guns that need doing. ie Heavy Support etc. There would have been a heavy flame/chemthrower (same sort of setup as Napalm Ned) but the parts moved in the moulding and don't fit together well enough so I'll have to take another crack at those bits before I can put him on sale.

Also working on things for the 10th Birthday in April but staying quiet about those in case I don't get them done and make myself look foolish. But something to celebrate the first days of Heresy back in 2002.

I'll be saving some Penny's for April then. Birthday time for me so I may spring a Heresy present for myself. More trenchies sound good.  :D

Rory from Doctor Who. Terrible pose, but it's what he most memorably pulled in the episode in question.

My Arturus mini was waiting for me today in the letterbox, together with a refreshers lollypop!  :boing:

Thank you. The mini is fantastic!
