Yep I'll be there as normal.

Have ordered tickets as I'm picking some up for friends and this year I won't be entering any FoD minis into the painting comp  :(

Yes me are goesing.

Atleast, that is what I would be saying if I had no debts and lots of extra money to toss about for flights and such. :hmmm  Unfortunately Salute, like many other shows will likely never be attended by me.  Long way to go from Western Canada to the UK.  Doesn't matter what direction you go in.

Avicenna and I will not be there this year. First time I personally have missed it since 2003, it's one of my favourite shows. But, I can't complain too much because we will be off to Chicago for the Crystal Brush comp. It's a real bugger that it clashes :( - it's 4 days too, so not sure how we will hold out! I shall miss seeing the usual suspects(?!) at Salute, but send you all lots of luck if you are entering the competition :)

Right. I plan to drive down and I currently have a spare seat in my car. So is there anyone in the Norwich area that would like a lift?

All I ask is for a share of the parking fee and petrol money. The parking is no more than 20, not sure on the petrol but we can work that out on the day. I only have a little old clio so its not a fuel guzzler. Still got to be cheaper and more reliable than train!

It does, especially the ice skating guy. So is it a game where 1 person ae the beasts and other the hunters or are there 2 hunter packs with random beast movements or something entirely different?

Probably.  Maybe.  Depends if I can scrape the cash from somewhere.  I planned to stay a couple of nights this time, but I gather the Olympics are raising prices a tad.

lots of fun, hope some of you will come and play a game if you have 3/4 hour

The GM controls the Mamoths who respond according to a dice roll on a chart depending on what the most immediate threat is, eg fire, dogs, hand to hand, being shot at or the mere presence of humans.

Each player takes a small warband and must try to kill more Mamoths than the other players (and still have at least one caveman left alive) in order to become the new king of the cavemen!

The rules are quick to learn and a game takes about 45 minutes. We won a prize at Colours for best small game and had a lot of players who all enjoyed it. The club is Lincombe Barn Wargames Society who run the Reveille show in Bristol, I'll be taking turns to run games in between shopping.
