Sound of blowing dust off

...

Wow... just over a year away from this project and I have put the next section of troops on the painting table. It must have been the Powered Armour that has pointed me in this direction (or the fact that Mondrians are so fiddly to paint).

So... updates will be forthcoming now that I have started on this again. Initially it will be small sections of troops but inevitably, the troops will need their transports so they will turn up at some point too.

It will be good to get back to this again as it is about time I painted a few more Grymn for an army (now that the troop side of my Tunnel Fighters army has been completed), especially seeing as they are 'out of the box' rather than being converted.

The good thing is that I have a platoon of undercoated miniatures (28 in total) ready to go so the prep is all done and I can get painting straight away.

It's been a while but here is an update on some powered armour for the NMA. I have 8 finished:

With these WIP:

The advent of the new heavy back-packs has meant a rethink on organisation... check out this link for more information:

Firstly great job on these Inso as ever.

But, I always thought that the whole point of powered personal armour was to create troops that were mobile enough to go where normal troops go, but to have the firepower and protection of tanks?

With those rail guns I can only think of this...

The guns are in the firing position. When just wandering about, the guns point down behind the trooper.

Artillery pieces are unwieldly but what they bring to the battlefield, outweighs the perceived disadvantages of carrying them about.

The suit has a system of proximity sensors that prevent the suit moving into a position where contact with other objects occurs.

...

Why use a grav bike when a drone is better?

I'm too tired for intricate stuff at the moment so I have been assembling and priming... this is all of them:

I've been continuing the process of painting the platoon, without getting caught up in details (due to having NO sleep recently :( )... slow but steady progress:

There is also an interesting diversion in powered armour form... you'll find it here:

Yes... it is good to be back in the saddle with this project .

They are linked to on Inso's World (assuming that is where you found out this news... ;) )... but yes they are :)

I'd say that they are the only jump packs available that actually look like they would do the job... they look like they could actually work too :) .

Yes I thought about it... but when you see number 4 and 5, you will realise why I have kept them one colour :)
