Decals or stickers (or both)
« on: January 23, 2012, 08:57:42 PM »
There are some of the new modern range of decals currently being produced for sale in February 2012.  The question is should we just sell waterslide or invest in self-adhesive stickers-type paper as well?

A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather & ask for it back when it starts to rain.

most mornings i wake up grumpy.   sometimes i just let him sleep.

my life consists of brief snatched moments of living my life hidden deep among chaos, confusion& the  going crazy, every night i go to sleep filled with hope & enthusiasm for the new day coming.  then i wake up & think "here I go again" & just aim to survive.

Personally, I think for signs and such, stickers are good. Decals are better for stuff that looks painted on like markings etc

Decals, if they sell well enough and people pester you about stickers, you still can invest money later in them as well. Decals are easier when you have to apply damage/ tear and wear to, they're a bit easier to apply over curved surfaces.

Rub-down, dry transfers would be my choice. Are they expensive to produce?

Decals. They are more flexible. Literally  :yup:

Stickers can follow if it's a viable option cash wise

i can look into it but i think it would be a specialist printing house for that.

Of course, that was a deliberate mistake to see who's paying attention - and it should actually be Feb 2012.

Decals IMO - more flexible (I stuck one of the old biohazard decals on the back of my Kendra, as a t-shirt design, and I could see some of the others making a similar appearance - the Poison, explosive and some of the zombie ones :) ), and if you want it to stand proud on a sign, you can always cut a small piece of thin plasticard, paint it, attach the decal, then stick it to whatever it is you want it stuck to.

yes....do you mean just the symbol itself on clear backing so you can out it on whatever surface you want or still in a triangle?

two new ones,  these are 15cm long x 5cm wide.  these were formatted so that there are some decent lengths of tape for barriers etc  there ar two more in this series covering biohazard and zombie stuff

Very cool.

I would seriously suggest replacing all of the pictures above, with ones covered with "Hasslefree" all over them though.

There are plenty of gits out there, that will just copy, paste and print from the images on this thread, and then glue the paper onto their models.

Decals are a bit of a pain to work with, but far superior to stickers.

Decals for me!
