suggestion for the web shop
« on: January 17, 2012, 10:55:26 PM »
Hi Sally and Kev,

it's been an age since i posted on here.  visited the web shop and got a bit confused by it.  why are you listing the prices of the minis as  £xxx + VAT  ??

as a suggestion please list the price us people in the UK would pay for the mini with all the VAT included.  on the cart page you can then breakdown what the price is without VAT added (as per your LTD company regulations)

in its present state i have problems working out how much i am spending without a calculator nearby.  people (myself included) are lazy and may be put off by not knowing the cost of a small potential order.

for example:  http://www.sourcebmx.com/product/bmx-racing-products/bmx-racing-frames/intense/intense-podium-09-mini/6285.shtml

hope this helps
I don't have a catchphrase yet.............

A good point, being out of the UK and exempt from the VAT it's easier for me this way though. Maybe a listing of without VAT and with VAT?
EDIT, just like in that link

Just go through the process as if it was an order and it tells you the cost inc postage with the VAT added etc easy peasy

In Medved's defense here, I found the VAT thing annoying because I had limited time to make an order and a set amount of money to spend...and it is an extra step to go through the order phase only to have to alter it.

That said, if it is necessary, then I have no complaints and as Medved said at the beginning, generally speaking we are a lazy and want things made as simple as possible for us.

Unless every miniature has two prices against it, then either the UK or foreign market will have to work out costs...so it makes sense to have the UK market affected because we are familiar with the concept of VAT.
