Suggested Additions to the Adventurer Range
« on: November 22, 2011, 05:13:57 PM »
A few ideas that might fit in with the Adventurer range - less guns than the existing types, but usable for roleplaying/zombie/skirmish games:

1) Traveller/scavenger - Rucksack on shoulder, right hand in jogging top pocket (could be concealing a weapon), left hand either at side, or holding a crowbar.

2) Handyman - toolbag in left hand, or slung over shoulder, with tools protruding - maybe a tradesman, or a housebreaker, hammer/large wrench in right hand.

3) Paramedic type - overalls, firstaid kit in hand

I'd have thought that there's a good case for a (British bloke acting as a) US sherriff, possibly called Officer Egg. Devoted family man and all round good, erm, egg...

That as well.

Didn't think it needed mentioning, as I know Kev is aware of said sheriff, and his companions already

Point of my suggestions, above, is that they would have uses for zombie games (of which I'm a bit of a fan of) AND also, other genres as well.

A guy in modern clothing, carrying a bag of tools, or a ruck sack, or someone in overalls, could be used for a whole multitude of games...hopefully meaning more sales for HF, in the process.

I still reckon a whole team of paramedics would sell like hot cakes.....

Ah, that's heartening to hear

Well, in that case, I would very much like to (re) state that there is a distinct lack of motorcycle policeman, construction worker, sailor, dancing soldier, red indian chief and leather clad biker, all possibly in a post zombie apocalypse New York setting...

Or Bill Murray!

In a similar vein, Firemen would probably sell.

yup. Need more proper survivors, for further down the line so they have cobbled together clothing and loads of gear

How about a "Frank Castle?"

SOOOO many Heroclix Frank Castles. I like the 'diving while wearing a trenchcoat and weilding two automatics' version from the Ultimates expansion.

At it's peak it WAS a good game though. That aside, some of the sculpts are good and paint up really well. As to bendy plastic, oddly some of the sets were made from a really rigid plastic that took details well. You just have to be selective with them.

I'm telling you guys, a post-apocalyptic band of juvenile delinquents wielding zombie noggin's-of-floggin' (i.e. zed-head-and-spine morning stars) would be all the rage!  OR you could give'em palm skirts and they'd be fantasy miniatures.

There's got to be a niche out there somewhere for a necromagocracy of halflings OR a gang of fearless kids from the wastes who'll use the zombie infection to dissuade adults/officials/civilization from moving in on their territory.  And, of course, the obligatory zed-head bolas for when a non-bitey, binding attack just isn't enough.   8)

ASKED KEV FOR:
Scooby Doo Crew physiques (December 2006)  check
Anthropomorphized Sci-fi Animals (April 2007)  check
Female Mechanic (October 2007)
Rocketteer (December 2007)
Child with Zed Head Mace (May 2010)
Reman Pugiators (October 2010)
1970s Nosferatu Pimp (December 2010)

If anybody makes a 28/30mm Lemmy you can put me down for 5 box sets. The ultimate in survivors I believe you will find.
