Grymn Walker Image updates
« on: October 26, 2011, 09:05:20 PM »

A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather & ask for it back when it starts to rain.

most mornings i wake up grumpy.   sometimes i just let him sleep.

my life consists of brief snatched moments of living my life hidden deep among chaos, confusion& the  going crazy, every night i go to sleep filled with hope & enthusiasm for the new day coming.  then i wake up & think "here I go again" & just aim to survive.

Nice design  :applause: I really like the look of this. Two things bug me slightly - the two round bits (headlights?) on the front of the carapace bit look a little like eyes to me - I keep seeing a sad face. And are the 'hip' joints a bit close together? Looks a little splay legged and like walking may be awkward.
Looking forward to getting one or two  :D

On second thoughts with the way the lower legs work maybe I'm wrong about the hips.

Hard target shooty things and soft target shooty things.

That WIP is much better than the original because it has a stocky look to it. I think the original version was too tall (at the time it was shown it didn't but now I've seen this one, it does) and more geared to a human sized pilot/army.

Armoury wise, I would prefer to see energy weapons than anything else so that the internal power-supply can charge the weapons and that would mean no need to re-load (and hence no need for ammunition).

Pulse weaponry for both roles...a heavier one for anti armour (more barrel length and bulk to the body of the weapon) and a multi-barrelled wide focus one for anti personnel.

As an after thought (a bit like the Jotun arms pack), I can see this little beast with arms...maybe call it a Grymn Gorilla and have quite long ones...mind you, that would be the sort of thing I'd be happy converting myself (but only in limited numbers).

I really like this little beast so far and am looking forward to seeing where you go with weapons !

I just said to Kev "they all like your Grymn Walker dear"...to which he replied "they would like it more if they knew it opened up, there is a hinge at the top so the front part lifts up so you can buy it as a solid body or one with interior detailing."

For me, the interior detail isn't that important...but for the proper painters and diorama builders it is a great idea :).

I saw the hinge on top (is that a track link?) but had no idea that it was functional!
