And you were afraid of sculpting him?

You've done a great job with all those panel lines! Bet it was a hard job, too, to get them right. Specially with green stuff, which is better suited to organic shapes.
You still have to sculpt Rescue, though...

And I forgot to mention how much I like the paintjob of Shulkie. Even though her face still seems odd (but to be fair I can only think of a very few sculptors that are good enough to sculpt female faces). And I think her body is pretty spot on regarding feminity-muscleness. She's more attractive than real life female bodybuilders...  (example at your own risk).

Cheers...She-Hulk is definitely one that paint improved.  Rescue...she will be a bit different to Iron Man because I want her to be more smooth.  She will be a difficult one to get just right.

Iron Man painted:

While sorting through my Heresy Gangers, I stumbled across a miniature that Mike Thorp (Twilight creator) had kindly sent to me a while ago.  I thought that he would make a perfect addition to the Star League so I added some boots, gloves and a collar and here he is...Torphig of the Star League:

His gun is made from energy generated from his buckle...

Love it! This is the sort of thing you should do for casting, at least at first. Keep sculpting other more human figures for practise, but sell these for Star Wars or other SF aliens, or Superhero aliens.

IIRC, you can use Hasslefree heads in your own commercial products, so you could use those for casting as your own skills improve.

If I get stuff cast, it will be mine.  I would never use other peoples bits and bobs (no matter how good they are) because the end product wouldn't be my own work.

Nice idea though :D .

The heads idea was just a random thought, if you felt you needed humanoids in your range.

I'd far rather see you create interesting aliens though. :D

Although, as part of the current project, why don't you make a 'Stalks' headed Star League member?

...maybe...I know I have a Stalks head or two...not to mention some rhino heads (but I don't think they would fit my idea of the league.  they are a bit too earthly for my taste).

The next one is nearly finished and is a completely un-converted, metal miniature...he'll be shown off once he is painted.  I got him from Salute this year :) and he is called Fixit :D

Yeah, but you'd expect someone to have put up an image of the free figure from Salute 2011!

Ah, my mistake. Hmm... to sort through the thousands of different figures available at Salute, or wait until you post your pic? I wonder which one I'll do?

...it is from Studio McVey and it is the small drone figure.

Well...Captain Britain is now finished:

I am not 100% happy with his stumpy legs but he is as finished as I am willing to make him.  He will look fine once painted...as long as I can paint the union flags small enough :o ...

Your best yet, seriously.

I'm not worried about the stumpy legs; he's a grymn, after all. The musculature is almost perfect; if anything, the calves could do with a sharper detailing. Other than that, he's spot on.

Waiting for the paintjob.

And the next sculpt.

The paint-job is done...those Union flags were fun to paint :o .

I am just waiting for the glue to dry before I paint the base so it looks like the pics will be up tomorrow :) .

I am quite happy with the paint job too...even the lion on his chest :) .

Here's a pic to show what I mean...the flags on the cuffs...
