So awhile back when I started, it was suggested that I become Kev's padawan and learn the ways of the putty. So the other day when I had a bit of spare green stuff to test my skills and heres the sum total

They've given Kev and Sal a chuckle although they my just be amusing me...  Whistling and I've got a few more on the go (one in a platoon, arms in the air pose and the other munching on something).

Thing is, Kev's said I should get them sprued up and get them cast by grey matter - which might cost me a fair bit unless I sell them so... What do you lot reckon? Is there space in your hobby collections and your hearts for boogly eyed monkey men? What kind of dent in your wallet would be acceptable?

Oh, and there'd also be (beyond the 8 little MM), a larger ogre sized one with little MMs riding on his/her/its back.

I also tried something slightly more serious but having spoken to Kev its a bit out of proportion not to mention rough etc.

Sounds tasty, I love M'n'Ms Very Happy They're like mini wookies, how about some knees on them though. That second one is coming along nicely so far.

Your the second person to suggest that... and here was me wanting peaceful monkey men! Bandoliers and some kind of laser rifle it is then!

Thanks for the comments guys, its quite nice considering these are my first three sculpts. Before that it was just gap filling here and there.

They could be used as CyberShades from The Next Doctor Dr Who episode. Look pretty dandy to me. Thumb Up Smile

I was thinking they looked more like the "spaghetti" monsters from Space:1999  Whistling

Still miles better than anything I've ever done.

As for putting them into production, personally speaking I probably wouldn't start an order with them, but I might add a couple of them into one.

For the moment I think you should stick to the packing of the miniatures. After all you are very good at it.  Laughing

I would do what you have been doing.

From what I have done so far, I have practiced making heads with fimo and not fired them, practice is practice.

I have tried a bit of anatomy, working on new hands for models I have converted, feet etc. So far I have started work on a sort of rpg but I don't like the look of it at the moment.

I like the little fluffballs though, I think you should try and make them a little more aggressive looking!

Joking apart I'd like to know how you got that effect as it would make a very convining guillie (sp) suit for a sniper

Thanks for all the fantastic comments- really does encourage a guy with his insanity Very Happy

Theres been enough people prodding me to give them bits of kit though to go ahead with 'warrior' versions although... should I scale up to 28mm? The current little ones could always be native children, and I really do want some kind of larger one with little ones riding on the back.

All this will have to wait of course - got commission painting to do and its seriously depressing. Its why im playing GTA instead till Mrs Addams gets home Very Happy
