Thanks for letting us know Sally. Sam mentioned something about ball bearings today that she is waiting on, didn't know she had ordered them....

Hello !
My order has been sent to France on 29 April and it has not arrived. It has a tracking number but each time I use the number on Royal Mail's website, they say : "Sorry, there has been a problem with the reference number you've entered.  Please try again." (I did "copy and paste" with the number I have been given) Then, I have no idea where my parcel is at the moment.  :blub:
Please smeone help me !

oooh dear,

i have just checked the tracking number again for you and it says that it shipped on 6th May (that means it took them a whole week to process it onto the database!!....thats scarily inefficient even for Royal Mail!!) and that it is in France awaiting delivery

he will get his birthday present, although maybe not until christmas at this rate   :tantrum:...... dont worry i popped something else in to cheer him up

Hey Sally !
I'm glad to hearing from you and happy you got infos on our parcel. Thanks ! And I hope that Royal Mail will do some huge efforts in the future because there are some big troubles !!
I've read here some parcels have been sent by boat instead of airmail !! That's just incredible. :jawdrop:
Anyway thanks a lot for all your help and for not giving up.
Maybe the parcel will arrive this week. We will let you know when we get it !
Thanks again and have a great day.

My local Post Office doesn't seem to have heard about the 21st century yet. I had a leaflet through my door telling me that a parcel had arrived with customs charges to be paid, when I went online to pay I discovered that they hadn't put the parcel number on it.
So after a side trip to the ATM for cash (the PO will accept my debit card as a form of ID but not as payment, no infrastrucure) I walked to the PO (no parking facilities within 1/2 a mile). It took two people to serve me, one to find the parcel as there is no logical storage method they had to search three separate rooms. One to fill the parcel number into three separate ledgers and a clip board which I had to sign for, then repeated the procedure onto a PDA which could have scaned the barcode and cut the whole time down to seconds but was not actually connected to any sort of database. :tantrum:

Hi Sal & Kev

I've been withholding an order for too long waiting for the Salute releases to go in the regular sections of the shop. First thoughts were "it's got to mean they can't be mail-ordered yet".
On second thoughts, may be they could.
I need that Mutant Joe real bad.

And machine pistols for Chuck Norris.

Can I put that in the shopping cart?

You can still order from ther salute section of the shop, i just havent had a chance to get them over to their relevant sections.

We are shipping orders but are running between 3 and 5 days for despatch

Will go through inbox tomorrow and see if i can answer anything else that is missing!

Ah. So merely superhuman instead of godlike then? Seriously, I've dealt with plenty of companies with much larger staffing levels who can only achieve this sort of dispatch speed on a good day. If the stars are aligned correctly.

Problem is that this still p***es me off as i like orders to go out same day.  My shrink says i need to ease off on myself a bit but it is hard when i look each day at what needs to be done!

The moment I learned to just stay level headed and chilled no matter what was going on is the moment I stopped having panic attacks and the like.

I mean I work for an engineering company and I have to do quotes, design installations and what not, the tasks add up but I take up to half an hour each day to analyze each individual task. It helps me segregate said tasks into bite size chunks that I can then eat one at a time... And if some of the less important tasks don't get finished then they get left for the next day. And I don't feel under pressure because of all this  :whip:

nope, not at all.  i do a job list everyday as to what needs to be done just sometimes there isnt enough time, like today for example i couldnt stay awake so i went to bed at 11.30am and got up at 2pm but still wasnt awake enough to get the kids from school so Kev had to finish work to go get them.  i imagine that i will be in bed again by 7.30pm tonight but i promised Mike i would get Twilight new releases up...so do i do what i promised i should do or follow my instinct which is to crash.................there lies the daily dilemma!

As for me I'll be putting the kids to bed early and plying the misses with port, sends her off to kip too. That way I'll get some peace and quite in time for sculpting, classical music and... Port.

Bergil, you just need to get up earlier.  I get out of bed at 0345 to have a bit of time before work and other mundanities.

Sally, my bits and sweets arrived.  cheers!  My boys love you.  "When will Aunt Libby send us more sweets?"  I hear it too often.  Actually, my 10 year old has started sculpting with putty.  I gave him a small supply and his own tools for his birthday.  He's working on hands and pouches, terrain and architectural details.  I should post some pics of his wip.  He and I work together.  Sagunt the Younger does basic form and I do the detailing usually.
