Nice.  Finally the birdy-like hunters have the hunter birdy they always longer for.  Will be great to field an alternative to Grishak as Devanu hounds.  Very nice looking sculpt as well.  Think the option of flying base for some variety would be good too.  Are these likely to be pack animals in the Grishak stylee?
Somehow bright colours for a hunting bird is just very very wrong to me - it's like having a bright pink hawk circling over you, rather gives away the element of surprise.  But then my Devanu are all rather brown in their colourings so maybe I'm just boring!

I like the look of it well enough, and the example posted was nice, it just wouldn't be what I personally envisaged, that's the great thing about choice of course, we'll all probably envisage something slightly different.  Perhaps a nice salmon pink  Razz

Not far off, it's a bit darker IRL, a bit of a nightmare to photograph

Its fair to say the colourings would in keeping with the variety of fauna from where these beasties originate. Maybe they have chamelion type abilities and can change colouring to suit where they are.

Like the birdie Matt but myself would have gone for bright blue or similar instead of the grey. I see these as either bright OR earthy. IMHO  Very Happy

The red and grey do provide a nice contrast to each other, something about it makes me think gothic, and early horror film vampire type flyie thing, nice job.

I imagined these as pale grey on the underside, and darker on top - patterned tan/dark brown/dark grey, to conceal them when perching.

That said, the gothic "peeled" look is _scary_! A flock of those would send most people running, I think.

Natural mottled tones are what I was originally imagining, but that's probably how I imagine most creatures should look... Having seen avatar I could be convinced by some brighter more parrot-like colours, assuming they were done well!

I was totally convinced this fella should be as rainbow-esque as possible (by which I mean very colourful rather than actually in the pattern of a rainbow) but now the more I think about it the more it seems that he should be a natural colour but with a really bright noduley bitTM...

Not sure now

If a creature is the top of his particular food chain then i guess he could be as bright as you like (unless he is a predator rellying on concealment/surprise). Otherwise i'd have thought the markings would be more "natural" - whatever natural means on Anyaral!

What's a Kosok's natural habitat, climate and vegetation-wise?

I think the Kosok is primarilly a resident of the Argoran wastes - a rather inhospitable region of dry scrub and harsh desert. There are however several different species that can be found across Anyaral, so there is plenty of leeway to paint them to fit in with a more foresty or lush landscape.
