I really have to find some bad excuse for buying those trenchcoat gangers - don't play any shirmish sci-fi games at all - so no idea what to use them for other than for painting  :thinks: - maybe a nice gang-deal would do the trick ;)

Of course, I would also enjoy a miniature of Darnell "Crabman" Turner.

An afro-head would be cool on more or less any Heresy Mini!

All of the above WIPs look very nice. I particularly like Roger, the Sniper and the Skull Mask varient.

Shorter legs feel like they'd work better with the Crab-Man, maybe having coming of the base at a slant? Regardless I'm sure whatever path you choose to go with him will result in an excellent model.

That's a great set of previews! Loving the sci-fi troopers. Can't wait to see how that range develops. :yup:

I love the direction the sci-fi troops are taking.  I am already hoping to see a bigger range of poses, I can definitely use them.

The crab man reminds me of the Mirelurks from Fallout 3 (in that they are bipedal crab men).  Which is a good thing, I mean... I like Fallout.

Mirelurks are a great idea for inspiration for a crabman.

 :metoo:

Mirelurks are a good reference and are nasty little buggers, especially the bigger tougher ones and the phsycic style ones.

I have to say I like her gun more than I like the guns on the lads.

I do think her legs are a bit thin looking.

Because she's a girl. And she's 28mm tall. And she's wearing armour. You tell me how to make her not look like the man (whilst wearing entirely unsexy armour) without going all Bimbo McBigboobenstein.

I like her as is, not all women have bulging thigh muscles like Angelina. I think there is a defenite femeninity about her. Would it be worth having a helmeted head without the goggles, the full face may be a bit more femenine then.

Otherwise I think she's cool. I am guessing that the weapon she has is a little different from the standard ones the other guys have?

Actually, her gun is going to be the standard one, it's a re-do of the male's one, which turned out to be way too thick to do any decent posing (it's the bullpup configuration that really limits what you can do with it - no one-handed ubermacho firing, for instance, it just looks daft.).

Her gun does look a little easier to fiddle around with or place on an alternative mini if so desired. Really liking the feel of this lot to the point that I am hanging on to starting one of my forces now because I need some head swaps!

The Crabman legs look too thin to support it.

Sir Roger is great.

The Ganger with the sniper rifle is on my wish list. A crouching pose (going stealthily to position) would be my recommendation.

I like the troopers- they look very promising. Looking forward for more.

Crabby looks odd. The legs are far too spindly to hold that body. The legs could do with being thicker I think.

Yes. It's a WIP. Those are literally a couple of bits of wire in the right shape with some putty on, nothing like the final piece might necessarily be. Only the body and the large claw are anything like the final thing would probably appear! It's essentially a sketch in putty, trying out some ideas, that sort of thing.

I really like the Trenchie sniper, it's gone straight on my 'to buy' list.  I also really like the female sci fi trooper, unfortunately it's the bulpup weapon that makes me think it's going to be great.  Just a note if you do keep the bull pup design, I think the look would be more balanced if you move the trigger assy and mag well forward on the weapon by two rungs on the foregrip just to balance the weapon more  :paranoid2:

It's all looking good, apart from hearing my wallet whimper...

The problem with the trigger and mag, is one of scale. The position of the trigger is governed entirely by the length of arm, the butt needs to sit on the shoulder. There's only so long it can be, therefore. So the overall look of the rifle has to be conform to the dimensions of the human scale figure I use.

Bimbo McBigboobenstein? Now that could be an awesome mini  And definitely keep the name
