There will be one for every squad and it won't need a controller.

I really like your colours. Mine were just done to sell in a shop. I was trying to hit a niche that was being ignored. You've made something I would want to keep.

By the way, send me a PM when you put stuff like this up. I don't normally visit this part of the FoD. It's a month later and I'm finally in on the excitement.

I like what you have done there Inso. A moving barricade is certainly very useful.

As for a walking comms officer you could use the em4 robot/mechs as the basis. Alternatively the pig iron command squad robot is rather nice.

There is a serious lack of good robots/cyborgs out there, well that arn't terminator wannabe's anyway.

I have officially run out of Grymn to convert...but that isn't too much of an issue as I have some on the way from HF central as we speak

. I have plenty of heads to go with them too...so once they arrive, I can crack on with the project again

I like 'em.
They remind me of a large version of those things the goblins had on sticks in labrynth (spelling) that were used to attack Ludo, in a good way though.

I thought they looked a lot like giant mole-rats and as a result, it seemed like they were tailor made for a tunnel force.

I still have a couple of them left...it is difficult to use 2 scratching ones without them looking too samey...BUT that means I have 2 to convert into big puppies

They are very nice

Do you mind if I ask a more prosaic question? How do you do your sandy bases? They always look very good.

Really? It must be the Cornish sand

.

First I paint the base and let it dry. I then paint on PVA glue and then sprinkle on my Cornish sand (Straight from Church Cove beach), tapping off the excess and then letting it dry. I then base coat with a watery coat of Bestial Brown, let that dry and then dry brush with Vomit brown. Chaos Black goes around the rim to finish it off.

The sand I use is multicoloured and the watered down basecoat allows a small amount of variation in colour before the dry brush. Depending on whether I want variation, I'll sometimes sculpt GS blobs on the base to add some extra texture...

All in all, really, REALLY basic
