They look cool. Could we please see them from different angles? So far I've only seen them from the front.

...never mind. :P

The next two mechs are finished:

...and that means that the close-combat section is now finished as well:

The first of the standard infantry mechs is on the table now...so that is 4 down with 7 more to go :) .

...Ticking along !

I have started converting another Geezer into a seer/shaman type of character for my little army.  I've also assembled the next three APCs that still need to be filled here and there before being painted...here they all are:

There is more info over at Inso's World if you are interested :) .

I must have been a bit distracted...JULY?

I have four more of the APCs on the painting shelf (not quite the table) that just need a bit of dry-brushing before detailing.  Should be done soon...only a couple more mechs to add to those and the army is finished.  I think I may have my Christmas project :) .

See...I started painting these again just because I mentioned them!  I have a way to go on them but have started base-coating bits after dry-brushing the grey:

I just can't keep my mind on anything at the moment :D!

Well, I suppose I have proved myself wrong...I can stick to some things when I am of the right mind.  I finished the last four APCs so this is where I am at now:

Yep...all of the standard troops now have a ride :).

I suppose I'll have to start on the four remaining mechs now ;)...

I seem to recall a thread of yours on them. I have a whole bunch I need to paint up over the christmas break. I'm gonna get some of that army painter dip stuff to make short work of them. What about some Messan's as well. The grunts look rather undergroundish.

The trouble is that I get rather underwhelmed painting Tyranids and their like...so it is very hit and miss.

Here is where my Tyranids reside:

Here's a taster:

There are more planned at some point...when?  I couldn't say!

I have a big guy, some gargoyles and more rippers in a cupboard...

Inso I noticed that you have put great coats on a few of your models. You simply must tell me how you did these. I'm having issues with my heavy weapons troops and their detailing when it comes to long coats.

I am sorry to say that the way I put coats on my minis is to sculpt them on with Green Stuff:

It is getting to a point where I can only see gun-metal paint!  I am currently base-coating my last four mechs.

I had forgotten just how tedious the job was :( .  It has also highlighted to me what happens when you water down paint with metallic particles in...oh how I wish I had an airbrush!  Streak free and even coats...I guess we just make do with what we have (a bit like being in the military really ;) ).

On the plus side, I will at least end up with the last of the mechs painted soon...so it isn't all bad !

K9 Squad...complete with transport:

I have started to paint the transport for the drone unit as well.  I've also decided to order a second six-wheeler from Fenris to act as an ambulance for my field medics.  I was going to see if I could find an articulated transport from somewhere but in order to keep things in the same theme, I will convert a Fenris vehicle instead.

I am thinking that I can add a bit of height and extend the rear slightly to give more internal space and maybe add a few extra armoured panels.  It should work and look OK...hopefully .

That will mean that I will have all of the transports sorted (even the OGrymn and his squad will have something...a bit different and I will show it off once the squad is finished) without too much time being wasted searching for something appropriate.
