Nice! Those conversion heads you use are great. So useful for a wide variety of minis. By finished are you meaning the entire army or just these guys?

These are the last standard troops for the army...I have 6 medics to finish, then the only Grymn will be those crewing vehicles/mechs.

The final troop unit for the army...a medic unit with an escorted doctor, an escorted medic with scanner and a stretcher party:

The only tunnel fighter miniatures left to convert are those who pilot the mechs :).

Next up will be lots of assembly/conversion/painting of mechs !

I love seeing what you up to Inso, and I was cusrious how you were going to get 'medic' across with the Grymn and you've done a sterling job. Well done sir and thank you for sharing. I've got a squad of Grymn on my todo list and every time I see some on this forum it gives me that extra kick in the crotch to get going on the painting queue. Scandalous as it may be they are not next up either, but soon. Well, soon I hope...

With the amount of Grymn Inso has put up here I imagine your not expecting to have children then?  :lmao:

Thanks :).

I have spent the last few days assembling the last five mechs...and I have just finished converting the pilots and adding blobs to the bases...so there will be a few pix later :).

That will make all 11 mechs built !

...I am a little bit chuffed :).

Those look quite mighty. So is the pink one to go with that power rangers battle group you have?

 :grrr: ... ...

Power-Rangers? ...Now there's an idea for a future project ;) .

Once I get properly busy, they will all end up nice and grey/gunmetal and will be added to each of the squads.

On a separate note...I have a new APC that has just arrived through the post.  I have lovingly sanded it, washed it and it is now sitting waiting for the glue to dry before I add a little filler to the gaps.

It is quite a chunky little beast and I think it goes really well with the tunnel fighters too.  I have swapped the turret for something more appropriate and now all I have to do is decide what colours to paint it...do I go for gunmetal and grey or just go for a grey scheme?  I won't be adding camouflage as they are supposed to be used underground and in the dark, camouflage ain't much cop :) ...

...I am really quite chuffed with the purchase :) .

The turret is from Old Crow...(18mm sized):

http://www.oldcrowmodels.co.uk/6turrets.htm

If you cut down the tracks you may not have enough hull to hold those Grymn ;) .

I really like these. Unlike the mechs, they suit the grymn: squat and tough.

I would have gone for smaller scale Votoms if they were available at the prices I was paying...but I had to work with what I could get.  I guess it all depends on how you look at things...We have different vehicles for different things so there isn't necessarily a style that goes with humans apart from the fact that there has to be enough ergonomic room for a driver/pilot/rider.

Look at road vehicles...we have everything from sleek racing bikes to Humvees...not to mention all those utility trucks like dustbin lorries and overhead wire repair vehicles.

...I guess we like what we like and the Votoms mechs are some of my favourites, even if they do look a bit like clockwork toys :D.

No worries...I also really like these but I just wouldn't be able to get away with them in a serious army...which is a real shame :( :

And this is as far as I got with 1/60 scale Votoms:

A heck of a lot of conversion went into it so it wouldn't be viable to convert a dozen of them.

Those shorter ones look like great conversions. That top one is definately too comical to be taken seriously. Nice paintjob on it though
