Which of the older ranges to work on first?
« on: January 22, 2010, 07:47:39 PM »
As it says above, vote for the one you want him to tackle first and then (if possible)  give us a reason in the reply box............have you got a spot in a game that needs filling?  A space in a diorama?  Or do you just like a particular range
A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather & ask for it back when it starts to rain.

most mornings i wake up grumpy.   sometimes i just let him sleep.

my life consists of brief snatched moments of living my life hidden deep among chaos, confusion& the  going crazy, every night i go to sleep filled with hope & enthusiasm for the new day coming.  then i wake up & think "here I go again" & just aim to survive.

I can't say I'm really a big fan of any of the ranges in the list. I voted for Kindred though, mainly because I feel that it is a range that seems unique to Hasslefree. I've seen quite a few manufacturers producing fantasy football and martial arts ranges, as well as sci-fi goblins. I'd personally like to see more Remans.

Notice I didn't mention Grymn.....oops.

I voted Kindred, because in case no one noticed I REEEEEEEEALLY like them :)
However I'd like to see Sleiti, Bohkin and Druusch done too. In fact I honestly think you should really push one of them a bit simply because I think the Grymn need an arch-enemy represented by a usable range of HF figures. Bug huntin' with 'nids is okay but really I think people want a manufacturer to be able to supply both sides on the battlefield. You need to build up an enemy race army to Grymn-comparable levels. I think it'll benefit HF in sales of both the new force and Grymn. But I think Kindred and Grymn "feel" more like allies or at least races tolerant of one another so it wouldn't work so well with my beloved tiddlers as the pushed race. And the human faction seem to be being built along the lines of a rag-tag merc group rather than anything else, which I personally rather like, but doesn't fit into the "arch-enemy" mould either.

Martial artists. They fit in best in a contemporary setting and that's where my interest lies. However, I've no doubt that they'll get overlooked for a sci-fi range.  :blub:

Bohkin are highly underrated. Great minis and I love my current ones. I'd like to see more. Druush Drones for the same reason.

Anything, but stinky elves will do :D

- but I vote for FF (another great reason for hanging around in here) - now that I can't vote for Grymn ;)

Martial Artists are cool, but the Sleiti concept is BADASS.  I mean, where else could you find naziesque space elves with organic weaponry?  Seriously?

I have anxiously await a female version for some time (armed with a barbed/razor-wired bio-whip or some such terror, I hope).  But you can't really force something you're not feeling (or selling), I guess.

ASKED KEV FOR:
Scooby Doo Crew physiques (December 2006)  check
Anthropomorphized Sci-fi Animals (April 2007)  check
Female Mechanic (October 2007)
Rocketteer (December 2007)
Child with Zed Head Mace (May 2010)
Reman Pugiators (October 2010)
1970s Nosferatu Pimp (December 2010)

I want Kev to work on the Martial Arts range to add some/any of the following;

Old Sensei/Master type (traditional wispy beard deceptively old fella rather than a Mr Miyagi)
Sword weilding Ronin in Kimono rather than armor
Gun-Fu Cleric
Modern special forces ninja (and wolf)
A Bruce Li homage with Nunchaku in the Game of Death Yellow tracksuit.

I voted for ff ,for a couple of reasons. The recent Blood bowl release on pc and xbox has sparked off a new clamouring for the tabletop version, so financially, it may make sense if you can get them out whilst the fever is still with us.  Secondly I'm not too bothered about the other ranges either, don't get me wrong, they're all beautiful minis, they just don't do anything for me personally.

I would have liked to see more accessories sprues, however I seem to recall this being mentioned before and its not cost effective or something.  It would be awesome if you could do a set with weapons with average sized hands already attached though.

The tabletop resurgence has come to my local club as well. There's usually about 6 Blood Bowl tables being used every week at [elg].

Voted Martial Artists because it is the range most likely to produce something of interest to me, as the sci-fi ranges & fantasy footbal hold no interest.
