Has anyone run a modern day, zombie themed table top game using the Hasslefree adventurer miniatures?  We are considering putting one together for a game convention in New Mexico held in August.  The rules sets we are looking at are All Things Zombie by 2HW and a variant of When Darkness Comes by Twilight Creations.  Unless of course there is something better.  The game should last about 4 hours and have 4-6 players.  I am open to any ideas/suggestions you all might have.

  Thanks

I've done a few. Not many, and on small table size. I can't suggest anything that would apply to your rules choice, as I'd used a modified version of my own rules set (which is still needing some spit an' polish before I put up the pdf for people) for my zombie games. Head-shots are important, and if you're good enough dashing through hordes (or running on their heads) can be a possibility, though can end very badly for us low-rollers. Zombie spawn points, shuffling masses, drawn to sound and sight. Event cards, that sort of thing.

Sorry to be of no help otherwise. Good luck with your game.

These are the rules we used for the Frothers game at Salute:

2-3 hours for a BIG game (500+ zombies), with up to 8 players.

Have a look at Vampifan's blog. There's an excellent battle report of an 'ATZ' type solo game using HF mini's here:

Buckyball, I was going to tell you about the game I ran and recorded on my blog-site but Bewildered Badger beat me to it. I was playtesting a new set of zombie skirmish rules but I also own ATZ, and they would work fine for what you have in mind. Whatever you do, best of luck... and try to take photos of the game. I discovered that there is a lot of interest in zombie gaming battle reports.

I played a game of ATZ at Hammerhead and that was a lot of fun.  You can pick and choose how simple or complicated you want the rules to be.  I also won myself a copy of the rulebook in that game for getting the lowest score.   happy joy dance

You may wanna check out our zombiegame at http://zombiegame.blogg.se/ It's in swedish but I guess you'll get the general idea anyway. The rules we're using are called "Dead Walk Again" and they can be found on the games Yahoo group, http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/deadwalkagain/ , or just search for their group "Dead Walk Again". You'll need an login at Yahoo to become a member of the group and get acces to the files.

If you wanna know more about our project or just say what you think about our work, leave a post on the blog!  Very Happy

A friend and I made a zombie game. Started roughly by using the old Necromunda / Warhammer 40k second edition rule set but changed and changed and changed it in the progress to find things that work. Great fun blasting zombies with the HF models.

Well, i considered making a new thread, but i figure one thread entitled 'zombie game' was sufficient.

Hello, I'm Nate.  I'm one of those forum lurker guys (as in, i like to watch.  Yes.)

Anyways, long story short, I'm branching out from my regular skill set of "I draw stuff and get paid for it" to "I'm going to write a zombie tabletop game!"
I'm currently halfway through developing a simplified set of game rules for quick games (about an hour or so), and additional, more complicated rules (for campaigns and levelling characters and such).

What I'm after, of course, is people to play test it with me, and provide feedback on what could be improved/altered/removed.
So before I start illustrating my walls of text with photo's and illustrations, who'd be interested?

If so, shoot me an email to natephoenix@gmail.com.

Shoot 'em in the head!
