Well done on that.

I'm stoked about getting a bunch of GW spyrers that I've been after for ages (but not willing to pay exhorbitant prices for). Managed to get 7 (5 unpainted) for less than the price of 2 new.

What makes me happy is having a job interview Wednesday morning which I thought went well. Mainly because, 90 minutes later, they phoned me up and offered me the job. I start on Monday and that's hopefully an end to a good long period of being skint. I just celebrated by placing a little Hasslefree order - which is another happy-making thing - for the first time in aaaaages. Only a little one, but I'll be back for more when pay day comes around.

And for my birthday, a friend of mine got me a ticket to see Pulp in concert, which I just got back from. That made me happy, too.

Wednesday was a pretty flipping good day.

(PS - it's good to hear your boy's on the mend, Inso, it puts my little troubles in perspective. Fingers crossed for him.)

I am happy because my lovely daughter Valentine was born this Sunday - and she is just gorgeous. I am in love with two women now...

A lot has changed in my corner of the world recently and all for the better too. Its kept me on my toes making sure everything that needs to get done does but I'm nearly there. All of it makes me happy. Soon I hope to get back into some sort of vague rhythm and that should include more time for painting I hope. Good times ahead.

i have it as leave so will be tiding the house sorting out tea and driving her to and from work. we have a day at a bird of prey centre lined up as our gift to each outher at the end of the month.

I was offered a new job today and have accepted

.

It is a job I have wanted for a very long time and have been offered before but had to turn down (I had just moved and had dragged everyone ofer to NI...I didn't have the heart to drag them home before we'd moved in)...I am VERY happy.

It starts the beginning of December.

I have been poached from my current job as a helicopter rectification and shift controller and have been offered a job on an 'engineering design integration team'.

What it is, is acting in liaison with the manufacturers and users to make sure that any new kit gets fitted properly to my helicopters, any faults get the correct support to fix them, integrating new tools and servicing equipment and generally helping to ensure that everything gets sorted as quickly as possible.

It is a staff job but it is as part of the Puma support network (my speciality) and it is a job I have wanted for years. With new Pumas coming into service, it will be a challenging and interesting job and I can't wait

.

It is even on the same unit...so I don't even have to move house

...perfect for my children as they are coming up to exams.

I nearly danced out of the office when I was offered the opportunity to take this job...I am truly delighted...no shift work (days only)...possibility of getting a puppy due to the added regularity of work patterns...
