Heh. Made me smile because In this case BOTH kids are rather the bullying type. And friends... most of the time. These are the guys that end up in trouble most of the time at school... They need a few situations now and then where they, for once, don't.

I had no interest in Spanish until I went to Peru. Now, I really want to go back to South America soon and my Spanish is atrocious. I'm just not that good with languages (and I can't roll my "r"s).

What makes me happy today is that Mrs Nosferatu went to the doctors this morning to get some test results. The news could have been really bad, but is good!

Hey Nosferatu, thats really good news, I know how worrying it is when waiting for news of that sort.

On the language front I always wanted to learn Latin. Don't know why though, or Russian, that always sounds cool, I've heard its difficult to pick up though.

On Friday; I'm taking the train with my family and spending the weekend with my best friend and her family. A weekend filled with snow ball fights, sledding, laughter, a bit of teasing, Doctor Who marathons, food, and fun!

I so can't wait. Well, I CAN wait. I'm just not happy about the wait. Who would be happy about a wait?

Oh, and to add something of happiness even though I'm very overwhelmed right now; seeing my best friend smile the way she did when I got off the train. Now, granted, she could of been smiling since I got off the train, in the dark in sub-freezing temps wearing a great coat, sunglasses and a flower lei saying, "Oi! This certainly isn't a tropical destination!!!!"

She certainly had an awesome birthday weekend holiday with all of us there.

What makes me happy...work challenges.

I have recently changed jobs; leaving a rotten one and moving on to one I've wanted to do for ages. It is very stressful, has a huge learning curve and is a huge challenge with the amount of planning that I have to do...I am loving every minute of it

...I actually go home exhausted and am able to get quality sleep (if not as much as I would like).

The down side is that my hobby time is reduced...but I can cope with that as I will eventually start to settle into my job and work won't get in the way so much.

Been back at work foraweek and my new class think I'm Awesome. That makes me pretty happy. (they're awesome too which is cool)

Learning to live with an inoperable health problem. It's never going to go away but I've started to get used to the pain and having to drink lots more water than usual. Also have passed the first semester of my first year at uni!

Seeing that this thread has been made "sticky".

There have been bad things going on lately in my life (love and job), but seeing this "effort" for centering on the positive has made me smiled. And you don't see me smiling all too often nowadays.

Just saying that most of the time there's no real reason. Some days you just wake up feeling happy. Other days you end up feeling like bumfudge. Today I have a reason. I'll be the ceremony master at a 60 year party. First I'll come up from a hole in the ice and make a water ceremony, then throw fire for the water ceremony, then let up loads of paper lamps into the air for an air ceremony and then the birthday child will plant a tree for the eath ceremony and then I'll make a speed portrait bust of her

(Building up a small portfolio of those in the hopes of getting some paid sculpting OUTSIDE of the miniature market - started on a lifesized statue to of a local concert arranger/youth organizer who has been at it for over forty years and really SHOULD have a statue of himself somehwere)) busy day, but fun

Also there's real winter here and I've got icediving booked every saturday and sunday for the rest of the month with Dive master exams in between dives

AND I'm nourishing hopes of doing an instructors internship in Svalbard! As close as you'll get to the north pole and still ahve SOME normal habitation. Ice bears!
