:notworthy:  Very impressive.  I bet that makes it easier to part with, and takes care of some bills.

Good work. Must be nice to get that extra influx of cash especially when you were only expecting 90. an extra 410 would be a great surprise.

I know :hmmm  I do plan to do a fair bit of painting, but tomorrow we are leaving town for a week.  We also have some serious yard reconstructing to do as well.

As usual, getting an order from Hasslefree makes me happy. :)

Plus, I'm happy that this week seems to have ended without any of me or my housemates being hurt. Well, I've got a bruised elbow and knee but nothing that counts as more than annoying. A newish housemate, who had only lived here a short time, went a bit crazy last weekend. It all finally came to a head the other night when, after having had the police called on him, he went off (before they arrived) to wander the streets for a bit.

Then he came back and smashed his way in through the living room window (he didn't have his key, though we'd actually locked the front door behind him, not that he took the time to discover that). And, wielding a big lump of broken glass, he went after another housemate who he'd previously scared so badly that she had called the police.

I rugby tackled him while he was trying to smash his way into her bedroom, as she and her boyfriend where holding the door shut from the inside. It took both me and her boyfriend to subdue the crazy chap. Which we had to do really quite vigorously before he would stop trying to attack us.

The police have turned out to be useless. They've arrested him more than once since this started last weekend and just keep letting him out with a caution. He was drunk and having a massive argument with a trader at the local market at about 09:30 this morning (Saturday), for example. No idea where he's living now, and I don't really care as long as he stays away from me.

It makes me even happier that I got some extra pay at work a little while ago that means I'll be able to afford to move out soon. I was already looking. I won't be hurried into moving somewhere I don't want to. But you know how it is.

Getting two of my poems published in two different formats. One is in an anthology of local poets and the other is an online ezine for poetry. The anthology had a book launch at which I had to read my poem (I hate public speaking). They used one of my lines in their description of what is a poet.

Only downside is the complete lack of sleep.

Found something really cool while digging in the yard today.  I put the shovel into the ground in an undisturbed spot and when I pushed the handle away to break up the ground, something small fell.down behind the blade.  At first.I thought it was a toy knight, but when I picked it up, it was a little Stormtrooper!!!  He's even cast metal.

On another note, totally bagged from two days of intense digging.
