Funny enough: I'm losing my job due to health issues (this old carcas just aint up to scaffolding anymore) and even though times are insecure a bit it still gives me goosebumps and fits of giddyness that I've got tons of opportunities lying in front of me  :woohoo:
So yeah, facing unemployment can make me happy

That's effin' brilliant!   :D   Years ago I was made redundant from working in a lab in the coal industry. Four days later I started work in detergent chemistry* and it was the best career move ever. I hope something similarly cool happens  for you.

Thanks a lot  :happytears:
First step will be to re-educate myself, I dropped out of school when I was 18 becuase I hated it there.
Weird enough the prospect of going back there makes me grinning from ear to ear, it gives me the feeling a bit of being a teenager again and gives me visions of me sitting on a sunny terrace in the summer eyeing the girls as the only 38 year old in the midst of everyone about half my age  :lmao:

I had the first treatment for the new rheumatoid arthritis medication today. No real changes yet (that will take weeks) but on the plus side, it looks like no real adverse effects to the drug so far. I was fearing an unpleasant time while being medicated and while it was a long job getting the drug in (almost 7 hours) the worse things I experienced were some hot flushes and some muscle cramps. Second dose in a fortnight then we'll see where it goes.

Thanks, guys. And Patrick, there are some great drug therapies out there for RA now, so with any luck your specialist will find the right one for you really quickly. I was a successful competition fencer, while taking drugs for RA, so it is possible to completely control it.  You have the great advantage of 25 years of research that's happened since I was diagnosed.

All the best in your treatments Gangrel.

Today my happiness is caused by the new pictures of kev's workbench and all the ladies on it, and the fact that when they are released I will likely be able to afford them as I have, I believe, gotten control of my online shopping! :boing:  All things in moderation.  Except for Kev's sculpted ladies, those we buy in bulk.

I don't know why I'm happy. I just have been for the last few days, not that I'm usually glum, just one of those really happy feelings.  :D

Last week, I got tickets from work, and I was finally able to take my dad to a Red Sox game.

I wish there was some way for me to properly put this in context for you, and I suspect there's a football equivalent, but I barely watch US sports so I can't come up with one.

It's just like going to watch Acrington Stanley...

Been seeing a specialist to do with my back, they thought I'd slipped a disk turns out they were partly right. It was a slipped disk and my kidney playing up. Why am I happy by this happy coincidence they were able to catch a kidney infection in my already bad kidney in time :-) I have to take anti biotics and some sort of sludge which is supposed to replace protiens and chemicals necessary for healthy kidney function. Oh and the backs a lot better too. One more bit of good news my wife has gotten over her fear of horses after having fallen off badly.

Today I acquired a bike for no cost (quite legally as well!) so now I can keep up with the kids as they learn to ride their own bikes! :)

Well, I got through the second of the rh. arthritis treatments. Somehow less pleasant than the first, but it's done now. Just a case of waiting months to see if it works.

Found a listing on evilbay today for an item, they wanted $200 USD.  The funny part is what it is

Did a search to see if I could find one for less and found:
Quote
This review is from: AVENGING NARWHAL PLAYSET (Baby Product)
I noticed the safety warning on the front of the box about the "choking hazard," and I was very careful not to put this toy in my mouth, as much as I wanted to. However what this product SHOULD warn you about is the "impaling hazard." I was playing a little too roughly with the Avenging Narwhal and drove the magical ice tusk right through my xiphoid process. I guess you get the last laugh, Avenging Narwhal.

By Scott

Busted me up pretty good, I've still got the giggles from it.  Oh yeah, 50 out of 50 people found this review helpful.
