My brother has had 2 VERY large trees (40ft) felled on a bit of land he rents adjacent to his house - and the land owner said we can have the wood ! We are hiring a wood chipper for the smaller stuff for use on his woodland path but I reckon there is enough wood in the main trunks alone to keep both our wood burners going for the next 5 years ! We cut most of the smaller boughs off with bush saws yesterday and I am going back today with the chainsaw - any excuse
With the current price of fire wood going up - I love free stuff !  :lalala:

I've been slow to post this (for fear of jinxing things) but my father- last seen in the Things the piss You Off thread, has returned to work after what appears to be a successful surgery.  Two seperate labs confirmed the tumor was fully contained in the area they removed.

That pleases me greatly.

I think we are going to need a bigger chainsaw ! I hadn't realised the trunks are about 6ft in diameter and my small chainsaw isn't going to do it  On the bright side I went out and bought a new splitting axe today teflon coated head for ease of splitting apparently - was going to ask about zombie dispatching but I figured it was probably a quick way to get arrested !

Put an order in to both Heresy and Hasslefree early Thursday morning, got both delivered this morning  :boing:  :woohoo: :boing: Just got to love that for service
The new Heresy troopers have a tiny flash line but are as good as expected pics don't do them justice, the new gangers as so sweeeet.
The new dwarfs from Hasslefree are a must for any dwarf fan.

SO I WOULD LIKE TO SAY A BIGTHANK YOU TO BOTH COMPANIES  :notworthy:.

@ Graig no shows this year due to real life issues, not unless you want to do a show at Northampton services on the way back from salute  :lmao:

@ Sally no worries and many thanks

Time for a bit of levity.  This doesn't make me happy so much as smile and shake my head.  People who cannot park their vehicle within the painted lines, regardless of how small said vehicle is.  I can understand large trucks to a point, but if you own a large truck you try and find a good parking spot, not just where ever.  You usually find these people at grocery stores.  My spouse and I call them Scribblers, because these were likely the kids who could never color in the lines, they just took a brown crayon and messed the whole page.  Most of these people aren't even just parked on the line but more than a foot outside or not even in the space at all. :scratchhead:  Just shake your head and walk away, hoping they don't park on you.

Hopefully no one here is a Scribbler

On a glorious spring day like today, I am just happy :) . The cool air, new sunshine and birds chirping away...'tis good to be in England, breathing English air.

Good stuff :)

I have a two year pay freeze instead...it's the price you pay for loving the work you do (so I don't actually mind :D... but don't tell anyone  ;) ).

A bit random, but it made me smile on a busy day at work. I was designing a report about the support calls that had been logged with our support team at work. One of them may be my favourite ever support call:

It must have been a busy afternoon that Wednesday in Gotham City...
