Seeing my last mortgage instalment leave my bank account this month! :boing:
That's a nice little monthly amount by which I'll be better off from November!
Plus the house is now all mine!

This is one of my favorites, bar none.  As many times, when the title and paperwork is finalized, the lending institution sends it out certified; so the customer has to sign for it.  I get such a buzz when that person signs for the envelope, and I get to hand it to them.  The final step in a long investment that a person makes, and I get to be the one to hand them the deed as it were.
I can't wait for it to be my turn! a good 30 years away but I'm fixed at a really low interest rate at the moment so things are still good :D

I had this happen a few months ago, congratulations  :applause: on OWNING your home.

I just did a pay balance transfer to my CC and am now 100% debt free  :boing:, I owe no one any money not even the utilities people, they are all in credit.

Good news! I'll have debts with my parents and my associate for 3-4 years. But no banks, nononono  :boing:

Just bought something that I actually couldn't afford - new BCD and drysuit - so it's my first ever bankloan though very small. Well worth it since my old drysuit leaked so that at my last dive with it I thought I would remain down there at 20 meters depth because it was all filled with water adding considerably to my weight.

Off to Wembley at the weekend to see another regular season NFL game.  Excited already and we don't leave for "that London" until Saturday! :)

Who you supporting then? As a Miami fan, it's got to be the Bucs for me.

Two weeks tomorrow, I go over to the US for a week and a half on my annual pilgrimage to watch some games there (we start with Navy at Notre Dame :)).

Another week in the books; closer to the holidays; and just hearing a good song or two to put you in a good mood.

Today's song was John Barrowman singing "Man of La Mancha."

Played 'Federation Commander' for the first time in ages, didn't even notice the time passing. "What do you mean it's time to go home, can't be 10pm already"? Quite possibly the first time I've been happy all year.  :D

Sorry it was a one sided game; but you did get to see a few sure-fire Hall of Fame players play.  (Tom Brady, Randy Moss; both will be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day.)

hee hee hee. i remember doing that myself once. Usually started work at 6 in the morning so the sun still wasn't up. I woke in the middle of the night around 2ish. got up had a shower got into my work clothes when my mum (living at home while studying and working) told me the time. Extra couple of hours sleep was awesome.

One that ties in with the NFL at Wembley.

Went to the game two years ago (the New York - Miami one), - we're sat in the stadium, and I asked what time kick off was (because I'd forgotten). On being told 5 o'clock, I looked at my watch and said "well, that's now".

Yes, I'd not set my watch back, D'OH! :D

Edit: typo fixed :)

Deep Space Nine: Officially not as good as Stargate.

If you field an overwhelming force against a paltry number of defenders, whatever you do, make sure the defenders are not English!

I've had to do 2 years teaching in a school (year 8's, last year of primary school over here, they are 12 and 13 year olds). Now that thats under my belt I'll be looking for work elsewhere. I have the right to be picky about where I apply for jobs now. Get away from some of the more mouthy ones.

Sorry to everyone who replied to my NFL post!  It was a great game and I really enjoyed it - most of all because I'm a Pats fan, anyway :)

@alrith72: Sorry Al.  If I'd thought to ask if you were going we could have tried to meet up at least to say Hi.  But then I might only have complained that you're beating the hell out of me on the fantasy football! :)

Just had an excellent phone interview.  Not the kind of work I want, but it should pay handsomely.

Handsomely enough to fund the kind of work I want to do, even.

Just had my son's first birthday party and it went great. No problems with anything. My son is allergic to wheat, dairy, eggs and nuts and it was an allergen free party. All the guests were amazed at the variety of allergen free food we had. I'm Soooooooooooooo full!

My son is allergic to wheat, dairy, eggs and nuts

So am I!  :D

What makes me happy...

Seeing my wife smile
Seeing my son, in general!
Toy soldiers.
Painting.
Dog, the labrador.
Relaxing.
Planning to get more toy soldiers.
Getting toy soldiers.

Most of all, though, my wife and son make me happy.
