the painting is excellent, and the conversion good too :yup: but to be honest, i'm still trying to work out what's going on  :scratchhead: is that snow, cloud or smoke? and is that a weapon or a futuristic shovel for the snow?  :?

The painting and conversion is great .

The only thing that bothers me is the hugeness of the singing spear...I doubt that she would be able to get her fingers around the weapon shaft with enough grip to wield it.

The snow looks snowy enough to me...

A great little piece of work :D.

The spear seems somewhat on the large side, but apart from that, outstanding.

She looks really cool - grumpy little madam! Are the details painted on, or did you use a little greenstuff first?

Do you mind if I ask what you used for the snow, I'm trying to add snow to my dark elf bases, and it doesn't look very good.

The wraithbone/jewels/sash were sculpted on. I use a mixture of sodium bicarbonate and PVA for snow - I mix it up as a paste and smear it on as smooth as possible. If it's not cooperating and still looks rough I apply pools of PVA over the snow and drizzle the sodium bicarb over the top of the whole model (this happened in this case and I slightly overdid how much extra bicarb I used ) . A bit messy but works like a dream.

Absolutely ace!  :applause:

With the snow, I would perhaps have some grass sticking through, just some added detail that breaks it up. I think it is the size of the base and the amount of snow that overwhelms a bit.

However I think that the model itself is fantastic. My painting is way off that . . . . I might get there one day!

Impressive

Add another comment about the snow needing something sticking through

Don't worry about the staff haft being too thick, they are on the minis they're intended for too ;)

Nice job

Really good work on a really small miniature, and I think the oversize spear is absolutely fine for a kid handling an adult-size weapon! I think her serious face shows she is a child trying to be very "grown-up", and the size of the snowy base reinforces the fact that she is still a kid for me.

Warm painting of the face & gems contrast nicely with the stark black & white of the farseer cloak and runes, and the snow.
Nicely sculpted runes by the way!

I LOVE this figure and what you have done with it. First class conversion AND painting.
