Well, it would weigh something like 12kg in metal, so at least £450... and you wouldn't want to have to hold it in one hand whilst painting it!

I suspect one with few scruples, a knowledge of illegal procedures, and probably one who knew lots of people wanted these dragons very much and would be willing to pay a lot of money for them.

Oh dear, sorry to hear this about the dragons, Royal mail managed to lose an Ogre that I painted up for Paint Iad for CMON. Andy, you had better get a move on and clear this backlog so that I can order one too! Spending the next week doing my accounts, and then it's at least a month of solid Dragon related work - spincasting as much as I can to build up stock.

Got a big pile of metal castings in front of me, cleaning them up to make silicon moulds with. unfortunately, several people have demanded a refund lately (despite the whole 'No Refunds' thing in giant font that they agreed to when ordering. Quite understandable, but immensely frustrating at this stage) which ironically has prevented me from buying a deeper mould tin to make moulds of more of the parts and speed things up.

Also fixing the original sculpt ready for remoulding. Found a lot of white plasticene in the scales, etc and am currently adding a texture to the wings to make them look less 'blank plastic' and more organic, as well as slightly easier to cast as they'll be a mm or two thicker.

I actually wake up in the night now thinking of this bloody dragon and all the problems it causes...

BTW if I am going to get a resin one, think I read it somewhere, I am happy to wait a little longer than getting it quicker but in metal. Or did I misunderstand?

Not really practical to do it in solid metal, it would cost me over £600 just for the metal, never mind all the moulds! lol. Also it would weigh over 12kgs and be impossible to paint in one hand...

Not yet, I'm afraid. Ian is working on casting some more Dragons with the moulds, as are, over the next two weeks. Meanwhile, I am making some drastic changes to the torso, removing the wings. This will allow Ian to fit the torso and wings into his pressure pot, and mean less miscasts and thus faster dragons. I would also be able to fit the parts into a deeper mould tin at my end, in theory, and thus spincast them.

Wings are already off, am currently filling in and smoothing off joins for best fit of parts, also retexturing wing membranes, as I was never satisifed with them really and this seems as good an excuse as any to sort them out.
