Basically, I dumped enough re-sculpted parts on Ian that he has to remake more than half of the moulds he spent so long making in the first place. Once he's done the moulds for the new main body parts and got me a resin casting, I can finish re-sculpting the back spines so that they'll definitely fit properly on the new body without pushing the two halves apart which is what the spines on the original body were doing, by about 2mm or so.
In theory, once all that's done the wings should be a lot easier to get acceptable castings from and we should be good to go!
Meantime if anyone wants to use their payment to purchase one of these miscast Dragons, ie you're desperate for a dragon and love spending time filling in tiny air bubbles and resculpting missing chunks of scales (easy enough if you have one of the taper point, double ended scultping tools I sell, but time consuming) and you're coming to Salute and want to pick it up there, let me know asap. I have twenty of them which will be available on the day to try and pay for the remade moulds.
