Spent today chopping and drilling, trying to make new joints so that parts would fit together snugly. Was playing with metal-reinforced putty. Nasty, chemical stuff that sets in a couple of minutes. Surprisingly useful for doing large pegs etc to fit pieces together with. Will use it on the armature for the Giant when I start him, and will use it for the alternative necks I plan for the dragon, as it saves using wire and trying to get the initial layer of putty to stick. I can just mix up a huge wadge of putty and shape it into the approximate neck shape, hold it in position for a couple of minutes and then get cracking on texture, etc. Could be an immense time saver in that respect. Follow me on twitter(or facebook but twitter is better, use Tweetdeck to get all your facebook and twitter updates in one air traffic controller type set of columns) for more info on that as I go along.
