The dragon now has all its limbs. However, I am going to have another go at the toes as they seem to all be different lengths, but as in different to their opposite foot, so one foot is short and stubby compared to the other.
At the moment, it's at the difficult '90%' stage. Which is where you've done 90% of the work but the remaining 10% takes just as long to do as it mainly consists of going over it again and again and correcting the almost infinite amount of cock-ups, bodges, gaps, etc, as well as thickening sections here and there or replacing bits. I think i am going to have to get some of the drogn cast up in resin and sent back to me before I can finish the sculpt as the weight of the green is making the legs bend and misaling with the rock base. So I know it won't fit together if I was to send it all as is. Things will inevitably reposition themselves in the mould and I need to plan ahead to eliminate as much of that as possible.
It's very hard to photograph. Not only is it so big and 3d that the perspective buggers up on my camera, but it's in so many heavy bits that blu-tac doesn't hold it together in the right pose.
There is still much work to do. But I am at least working on it! I desperately need to finsh it as I need the money from all those remaining deposits to pay tax bill. I can't take them until I know when it will be finished for definite, before anyone asks!
