That's looking very nice, and it's good to see the dual scale ridges.

Wowsers.....the dragon is looking awesome!! :shock:  I particularly love the leg/foot detail - so like a birds and I also love the pic showing the view down between the shoulder blades with the details on the wings. FABULOUS!! :notworthy:

However, I also couldn't help noticing the statement "Big isn't he?" right next to a close-up of your crotch area.... Before anyone tells me off for perving (Avicenna in particular) - it's not my fault - it's Andy's jeans - not my genes :angel:  :whistle:

New pics!

:blink:

Yeeha! :mrgreen: :D  That thing is bootiful.

That's an awful lot of reworking.  I won't dictate your own tastes to you, but I thought the previous rock and feet were fine (depending if the latter was able to easily fit on a 50mm base...).  Still, the new versions kick arse (Lookit the texture on the toes!  Lookit!), as do the folds in the leg, the back scales - whether you'll put spikes on or not - and the texture of the wings, with the worn trailing edge.  Brilliant!

@Toosh
Tsk. Bringing it down to your level again. I dunno... :tsk:  :lol:

@Vermis
50mm base? Pah! NO chance! The old rock would squeeze onto a 75 by 80mm base. the (bottom of the) current one can technically fit onto the top of a Halford's spray can lid but I don't fancy the chances of anyone trying to balance it on a small base like that. (can't tell until the whole thing is finished and in one piece what the balance will be like, but I'm trying to centralise it as much as possible wihtout sacrificing aesthetics.)

I already have a lot of ideas for how to do this different in terms of spines, riders, new necks etc; having to force myself to remain on track with the current set-up...!

Andy, that is bloody fantastic!
:metoo:

Absolutely fabulous - it made me grimace too, I'm going to have to construct that beast and then paint it...  :shock: :boing: :crazy:

It's fantastic and well worth the wait - great, great work chap.  :notworthy:

Don't worry. You can use all those ideas on the next one :D

Instead of writing compliments, I've decided to place the second deposit on the dragon. :wink:
And ordered some scifi minis, too.

Keep the great work! :thumbup:

New pics!
Now I understand why I was so confused - the update says "July 29" but all the pictures have "June 29" on them!

Love the musculature, the toes, the claws... everything! (I've tried to resist commenting until now because I know I'll never buy one. 100GBP = $AU300, including postage. I just can't justify it to myself, even now I'm working. But that is one magnificent dragon you're making.)

Thats what slow deposits are for. It makes the justification easier to swallow. Its only $100 a deposit, which will get you a white dwarf and half a squad of marines at GW  :Silly

Is it me? Am I too used to my own enormous lizard? Or is that wyvern too puny looking to hold the weight of the orc bloke?
(Apparently, it's a metal model and costs just under 50. Mine's starting to look cheap after all...)

Pile o' bumfudgeTM compared to your dragon... and most definitely far too small for an Orc Warlord like Azhag the Slaughterer...

Its got a nice face though, but it just isnt impressive enough - especially at that price

Also by Trish 'I-don't-have-a-clue-what-I'm-doing-so-let's-whack-random-flagstones-and-wrinkles-on-it' Morrison. :whistle:

What on Earth is that huge fing behind Azhag?  It doesn't help the effect that he's too big for the Wyvern.  And the puppet hanging from it is way too overwrought as a piece of symbolism.  :lol:
