All are excellent, well done!

Plastics Fantastic / Re: Gang Types - What Do You Want?
« on: November 01, 2013, 01:19:17 PM »
I didn't vote for gang types either, but what about some sort of local militia? Would work as lightly armoured people with maybe flak jackets and lots of ammo pockets and all sorts of guns. Would also allow use within various systems as well.
With your twist on post apocalyptic of course.

I voted for Fantasy, but I would think that doing fantasy and then adding sci-fi gribblies as a separate sprue (even a metal add on sprue) would be beneficial and allow easy swaps.

Is it possible to do the bodies in plastic and add-on arms as options for either? Sell the bodies and pick if you want the sci-fi or the fantasy arms? Could even do them in metal (similar to the E4 troopers maybe).

Heresy - Announcements/News / Re: Salute!
« on: April 22, 2013, 02:35:33 PM »
You mean my order on Friday (with pre-order items and while you were heading to Salute) hasn't already been shipped and hand delivered to my door?
Glad Salute went well and hopefully the house move will go smoothly.

I'm in no rush for my order to arrive, as it'll end up joining the enourmous lead mountain I sleep on. It's not as pretty as gold, but I've always prefereed silver anyway.

Bit late for yesterday  but just bought a few things off of you. Really looking forward to seeing the new Mullet!  :boing:

Happy birthday Heresy. Here's to an incredibly successful 12th year in operation.

Ideas for New Heresy Models / Re: Kickstarter?
« on: February 03, 2013, 03:39:43 PM »
I've not spent any money on a kickstarter project myself (been trying to save some money instead of spend what I don't really have!) but I would agree that I think you should definitely focus on one or the other.

I've seen a couple that had new models being the standard and allowed additions of existing models already being sold as stretch goals and add-ons. (As well as additional new models.)

You've already got a good number of fantastic figures and this would allow the addition of figures without necessarily needing the large outlay of time (and associated money) on new sculpts while still maybe allowing punters to feel like they are getting a bargain.

While I think you're sci-fi stuff is fantastic, there is a lot of it around at the moment and the start up cost is rather large, so I voted for the fantasy stuff.

Whichever way you go, I hope it works out so much better than you could imagine!

Ideas for New Heresy Models / Re: The Revengers

The aforementioned Knight Models do some (with Thor, Hulk, Cap and one of Iron Man currently shown as discontinued!), but I think they are in their 70mm range looking at the cost. They have some very nice figures and I'd love to get some of the Star Wars stuff, but with the inevitable licence requirements they are definitely not the cheapest.

Sneak Peeks / Re: 10th Birthday Big Boris III - his Axe, at least
« on: March 17, 2012, 12:00:51 PM »
I like either of the version on the right, just not keen on the bottom left one. Seems like the runes would be massive and overpowering.

Hopefully you'll have different text for each quarter of the axe    :D

I like the skull as is. It is 'normal' head sized so it suits being 3d I think.

I also like the axe as is myself, but wouldn't have any issues with stuff on it, just not too much/too prominent or it might start to look too cluttered, especially with the inner section already being sunken and giving a 3d depth. If anything went in there, or around the edge I'd probably suggest engraved.

Spyglass and Eolith Miniatures Discussion / Re: More zO rumblings...

Hope they do great for you, some lovely mini's in there. Was always hoping Steve would do more of them, so glad there are plans afoot.

Heresy - Announcements/News / Re: Mr Smug (two variants)
« on: February 23, 2012, 10:16:37 PM »
I'd prefer not floating in mid air as it limits the use that can be made of it.

Not sure I'm keen on the blaster, but Mr Smug looks fantastic with the silenced smg.

Ideas for New Heresy Models / Re: Angry villager types!
« on: February 15, 2012, 02:13:23 PM »
I'm bearded... and male.

Nice idea though. Perhaps make them unarmed and make separate weapons sprues with pitchforks, torches, chairlegs, lanterns, open hands etc that can be easily combined with them to allow as broad a range as possible.

Sneak Peeks / Re: WIP Troopers and Roman bloke
« on: December 13, 2011, 01:23:23 PM »
Yes, more troopers. Excellent.

Excellent. Now I need to figure how many archers I'd like.

All right, you've got me curious, what number am I?

Craig Anderson

And if it's soon enough, I'll wait the bit and order a bunch of them goblins at the same time. Otherwise I'll need to order them first!

Yipee  :boing:

Not sure what number I am, but think I got in early-ish.

Think I will order a few other things when I get the shipping request. Those goblins are calling my name.

Yay, looking forward to having to pay for postage now   :boing: :woohoo: :happytears:

The pics on the Dragon page have a ruler and the cutting mat grid on some pics. Andy also noted that "It's about 29cm from the base of the rock to the top of the wing, and about 40cm wingspan."

Hope that helps.

Well it seems that Andy was doing a smaller version, but with the 8+ layers of scale, it just got bigger as it went along

I would much rather you spend any spare cash/time (stuff you don't seem to have anyway) on getting more figures out so I can buy more things off of you then you wasting time giving me something extra with the dragon.

Woohoo!   :boing: :boing: :boing:

Andy, I'm sure he'd rather have the work than not have the work.

I can be patient, I've been waiting a while now, so another few weeks won't kill me.

Good to hear the update on the casting process   :boing:

I paid in full for the dragon ages ago. I knew that it would eventually get done, or that Heresy would close it's doors (which I am very glad it hasn't). I knew it was a risk, that's what a preorder is. I had confidence though, that Andy would deliver (and I am very pleased with the pictures that I have seen so far).

I will await patiently (well, slightly impatiently, but only because I want it in my hands now, rather than later!). When they are ready and the request for shipping is issued, I'll even put in a few extra quid so that Andy at least makes some money. I didn't preorder to get this on the day it was finished, but to encourage Andy to complete it. I know I'll get it when it's ready.

As for the first partly paid or first fully paid Andy is in a bit of a no-win situation. As such, I think he's done the best he can to ensure the fairest outcome. I would still think the same if I had only part paid and was now at number 170 or something. If I preorder a computer game say, then they will take the money out of the account as soon as it is ready to ship, whether I can afford it or not. Andy doesn't work this way. He is allowing people to pay as and when they can afford the money and rather than demanding it immediately he is giving them a reasonable amount of time to pay (and as he says above, if you have problems, let him know and he'll see what he can do to help).

I hope you have a great Christmas break Andy and get a bit of time to relax and have some good quality time with the missus, as well as having some time to sculpt.
