I heard she was eaten by "World of Warcraft" a few years ago (lost a number of people to that electronic crack)

Who needs online games to not to keep in touch with people? I  was lousy enough at emailing people even before my granddad had a stroke (and several months later died) and my grandma was diagnosed with alzheimers more than two years ago. When I'd tell ya that I was talkin more to people here and on fuuk than whith 'real' people would you believe me?
No?
But it's the truth- I can fairly well use the fingers on  one of me hands to count how often I've actually got around to meet me friends during the last couple of years (or talked to them on the phone)

Baby with guns? Don't know if I'd like that, I think I'd prefer the baby throwing some sort of toy at a zombie/ hitting it on the head with a teddybear or something like that.

Heresy - Announcements/News / Re: Custom plastic bases? What do YOU need??
« on: September 12, 2007, 07:21:20 PM »
voted for 80/ 100 mm display bases+ 100mm rectangular

I'd like to  see some rectangular display bases as well, but I don't know if other people would want to buy something like that.

Oh,and deeper display bases sound intriguing!

hehe yup ;) carved into the plaster...

Plaster's great for carving!
Did you use standard hobby plaster like you can get at diy shops or something a bit harder/ more durable?

Looking good (not just the base Kaylee as well).

On the right side, fourth row from the bottom: is that a skull?

As for getting a cold- maybe dwarfs wear woollen undies (would certainly explain their grumpyness)? Who knows.

He might end up with slightly blueish skin. Haven't decided yet- since I wanted to paint the doggie blue too and that might be a bit too much of a limited palette.

just a quickly taken pic, so you can see where this will end...

Well, Lassie would have known what to do. (I really hate that dog. Although it's nowhere as loathsome as that yellow atrocity bigbird.)

Triangular shape on top will be changed to something looking more iceberg or rock like. Also have to add a leash.
Still haven't decided if this will be an iceberg or some sort of cliff with shark fins in the water.

Flying munchkins won't be featured, there's simply no room for them.

Or they could be used for DeathBall somehow, or as support for the heroes (from guard dogs to 'beasts of burden') or as halfling mounts too...

Maybe have some dogs as parts of different sets (townsfolk like a storekeeper, a steam engine driver, a telegrapher) plus something like a special request section, where people can order just a dog or two?

Spyglass and Eolith Miniatures Discussion / Re: Another...Spyglass update
« on: September 07, 2007, 10:44:32 AM »
Glad to hear you've decided to sell your "old stuff" again. There's some minis I'd like to add to my collection (what a fancy word for the piles of unpainted metal I've accumulated) and knowing they will be available again is great.

The cohesive range idea is a good one, would probably help to attract more people to the range. I think most of the minis you've sculpted so far for Spyglass are more interessting for painters and collectors or for use as characters in rpgs than for army builders.
That said: the scarecrows and munchkins should work well enough for building units.

Hm, there was something else I wanted to say but I kinda forgot. I blame the post-dentist numbness of my face and general tiredness...

Anyways, good luck with the lantern & the relaunch of Spyglass of course. Hope your health will be fully restored real soon so you feel like yourself again.

The Colouring-in Room / Re: here be dragons
« on: September 07, 2007, 08:12:59 AM »
don't know if it's "just" a personal project or if you are considering getting it cast once finished. But I could imagine the dragon as part of a diorama, something like the dragon attacking a castle or town. In that case he could be attached to a castle wall or a belltower.
Other than that (and the rocks/ log suggestions) all I could think of was: asian style clouds, as the dragon looks sleek enough to be an oriental dragon. Or maybe a cliff - would look as if it was about to cross the ocean. Or a fight scene (something like some guys poking him with lances).

dead and gone is dead and gone- coincidence (or not) probably just means that the old casting machine realy is beyond reanimation...

Like what?! What possible 'reasonable' explanation is there for a corpse in your back garden?

Somebody having a heartattack, somebody overdosing, somebody comitting suicide... There's tons of reasons you could end up with a dead body in your garden- the thing I don't understand is most people get real pissy when there's an empty beer bottle thrown over their fence, but nobody spotted that human lying in their garden.

I think it has the same denists and "The mouth of sauron" in LOTR3

Can't judge that as I haven't seen any of the movies.

That must be a very large and jungle-like garden...
I'm sure if I lived in a house and had a fairly normal sized garden I would notice a dead person lying around. Even after coming home from a two week holliday you at least should be able to see some bones.

Those wings work a treat!
I was surprised meself how well they work.
When rummaging through the box with Heresy/ Hasslefree figs I found the wings, so I started looking for a fig to convert that hasn't too many parts. Since I wanted to use one of the doggies for my diorama anyways the decision whom to convert was an easy one...

Oooh flying doggie!! I love those hell hounds
Yeah, they're great. I think I've got five or six of them- all unpainted and in several degrees of unassembledness

Thanks Ink, that flying Jotun looks nice. Are you going to painty him up?
I just might do that someday. First I have to finish this dio (and some of the gazillion other projects that I started/ am working on)

That's Immogen's wings.

I bought two packs many moons ago and have to say that they're quite versatile:
flying Jotun
This has nothing to do with my diorama, so just a link instead of the pic...

Does anyone out there own both a munchkin and some of the Hasslefree helmet wings if so: would the wings be far too small for some flying munchkins? I thought of maybe adding one or two flying munchkins to the dio...

Suggestions (HF) / Re: Dwarf Cheerleader
« on: September 03, 2007, 05:50:10 PM »
Depending on what it would look like and with a bit of conversion it could be used for a few things more.

Eg with oldschool rollerblades and a serving tray she could be a waitress in a diner/ drive-in in a parallel universe. Add some armour and a helmet and she could be used for roller derby.

With a purse and highheels she could also be used a dwarf strumpet.

Only figs/ parts from two companies, no idea if i get it finished in time but anyways:

To give you an idea what's gonna happen with the wings (they're just tacked on, so position will still slightly change):

.:edit:.

Wings are almost done (lousy pic, I just used an Osram dot it led thingy instead of proper lamps):

This led thingy actually might be usefull for people that want to paint some lighting effects:

Did I buy what? If you mean the blueprint thingy- no, the room's cluttered with tons of unfinished stuff already. Starting to build a pirate ship wouldn't improve the situation...
