Voted for both, simply because i like variation.
I guess if it was up to me to decide on how they should be done, I'd say standard version comes with closed visor (makes more sense anyways regarding protection) and then add another sprue with open visored heads to the headsprue range.

Out of curiosity: has anyone tried something like adding a plastic visor to Debra's helmet?

A few figures have been shelved completely based upon public reaction.

Now I'm curious. Will they eventually be reworked/ modified? If not maybe you could sell them on ebay.

Regarding the main question:
I like being able to have a look at the greens, even if something might never be for sale it's still interesting to watch the progress. I also like the release schedule being posted, only having a very restricted amount of hobbymoney this helps planning purchases.

They're kinda cute, just like that super deformed stuff. (I like em, have no use for them but still...)

A good idea. Giving him a 'traditional' elephant gun (and possibly adding an alternative head with a topee*?) he might see use in pulp games as well

* That's what I mean, the german term's Tropenhelm and the online dictionary insists it's called topee:

So far it looks promising. Have you considered adding a bit texture to the planks on the floor?

Only minor criticism is that some of the edges of the stones on the greenstuffed part look a bit undefined/ soft.

Do you have some sort of photo/ picture editor installed on your pc? If not there are some available for download from various sources (it doesn't have to be anything fancy, I guess picasa would do)

Use it to crop & resize pictures, so they don't fill the whole screen and only show what's important: your diorama/ minis.

Cropping a picture means trimming the edges (in your pic there's a heater in the background, that's not really important for you diorama. It just takes up space and distracts from the diorama).

You also don't have to save the pics at maximum jpg quality, saving them at let's say 65% or 80% usually is more than enough. This will compress pics and result in smaller filesizes, good for websites since smaller filesize means less bandwidth used.

Here's you're pic, cropped and saved at 65%:

it's still a bit big, so you resize it.

This is resized to 80% of the picture size.

sorry, I'm a bit tired but maybe this helped at least a bit

When you put taxxis' head on a sprue, you could put Oberon's head on the same sprue. they'd be great for some fun chaos conversions

I thought this was disturbing enough.
That indeed is disturbing. (Can't comment on whether the original is disturbing as well, but this isn't the right place for politics anyways.)

That is if you're refering to already existing heads.

If it's just the head/face and not the pose you want, then transplanting his head might be easier

I do agree with you regarding the face, like you said it could do with a (tiny) bit more contrast, maybe a last very subtle highlight.

Overall it's very nice and well deserves it's first place

I could imagine that something possibly female in 40mm or 54mm or even a bust might interest painters, but a company probably would rather buy a "small" green what with the ever rising costs for almost everything. So scale: 28mm, just to be on the safe side.
Subject's a bit tricky, while I love Monsters like Trolls, Ogres and Minotaurs most companies might think they're to expensive and possibly won't generate enough sales to be worth the risk/ investment. So :scratchhead: What the market's really lacking is more good chaos/ evil dwarfs. I bet there'd be enough buyers.
The other (and probably more sensible) thing is something that isn't restricted to just one theme/genre, something that would work for fantasy and postapocalyptic or for historical and pulp with just a hand/ head/ weapon swap (for example the limited Spyglass barbarian, with a shotgun he'd be good for postapoc.)

slightly off topic:

Auctioning a commission would be too much hassle (no pun intended, just can't think of a more fitting word in english right now) I guess?
What I mean is: Let's say you take a standard sized human miniature (of which you'd show an armature like the one on the shop) and Kev would sculpt onto that what the winner of the auction would like. Obviously there'd be restrictions.
Only reason I've been thinking of this is because christmas seems to be around the corner, judging by the variety of gingerbread & stuff that's been on sale since a bit over a week or so. Someone might think a commissioned mini would be a nice present either for themselves or someone else.

typing while eating was a stupid idea

Do I need to get out more, or is a vivid and active imagination one of the cornerstones of a Happy Life?
I think it is. Not a guarantee for a happy life, but a very important ingredient that adds a bit zest and flavour to the often rather bland dish called life.

time for breakfast me thinks

:metoo:. Never having seen any of the movies I still like the idea. They'd also be nice for something post apocalyptic.

Yup, still my favourite game ever. I hope I'll be able to play the new one on my somewhat oldish pc. I also hope they manage not to ruin the game. I loved all the little jokes in the first two parts, from talking brahmin (mutated two headed cattle, for those not familiar with the Fallout series) to vanishing Tardis.

The good doctor seems to enjoy his work. ( I can well imagine him shouting 'Der Nächste, der Nächste bitte!'* while his assistants bring him more recently deceased soldiers)

The bases are very nice & fitting and I have to agree on the coments regarding the skin tones- they really work well.

Not trying to spoil the fun for anyone, just saying what I think. For you it's a great place, but for me it wouldn't be - It's just like fish or whiskey, some like it some don't.
At the moment I don't even really stay in touch with those of my friends that live about 20 minutes away from me (I'm not gonna bore you with the reasons though).

Anyways, good to hear you managed to contact some people you otherwise wouldn't have found again.
