I really need to finish this poor guy.  He has been sitting on my table for a year now unfinished and I'm not particularly happy about that fact.  Blurdy life getting in the way.  Here's to the hope of finding time for my hobby again soon.

I picked up my Madame today.  She is gloriously, grotesquely, fantastic.  She is going to be a challenge for me to paint I think, once I decide on a color palette.   I will also need to brush up with a few other figures before starting her.  I have been toying with the concept of social media, but it hasn't really been any real interest to me.  So, I will stay here, I hope.

Got all my stuff over the last two days.  Glorious amounts of grubbiness.

I haven't been around in a couple days.  Haven't painted in just shy of a year, sadly, frustratingly.  Too much work not enough time off.  I worked six days a week from mid September 2015 until somewhere around May this year.  I've been itching to sit down at my table.  Working hard to get time soon.

Looking at the top left trooper and grey, all I can hear is Will Smith saying "Aww, you brought that tall man some flowers".  They're all cool though.

Fantastically icky-poo.  I like the veiny skin on the grub and the how the spine tips have the illusion of being transparent.  Guessing the adventurer it feasted on had a bad time of it.  Second to last picture, excellent depth on his face.  Looks great in all shots he is in.  They all look excellently squishy soft and nasty.  Well done.
I'm very much looking forward to getting mine in the mail.  I have assurances that it's all getting shipped out Monday Sept 5.  A colossal resin snow cap to the lead mountain.

I guess this is somewhat of a minor thing in the grand scheme, but it still makes me angry.  The wonderful people at Canada Post have been raising rates and reducing services over the last year or so.  This means that tracking for packages is virtually non existant once said package enters Canada.  Now, services that used to be completed in seven business days or less, take a month.  International courier options are almost worth it now.

I'd never witnessed one before.   Interesting.  I like the platform idea.  Looking forward to seeing more.

It also ends without any resolution.  Can't be called a cliffhanger because you would have to care at all about the characters for that.  Funds must have run out.  Mid scene it goes to the credits.

At least I'll never have to see it again.

Just saw a water faucet in the botanical garden and two paper tags on trees.  Bamboo grove now.

Dear lord, they didn't even try to hide that tree sign.  It was almost legible.  Or the next one.

This is the tag line synopsis thingy.  An anthropologist has to save the Earth when a beacon in the Pyramid of the Sun triggers an alien blitzkrieg.

The only true part of that line is 'alien'.  Nothing at all to do with any pyramid.  Never mentioned once.  What anthropologist?  WTFudge.  Lol

Thousands of pages could be written trashing this crap.  Who else watched it.  Care to comment?

So I've been watching bunches of Sci fi movies lately.  Trying to watch would be a better statement.  Currently I am grinding my teeth and way through 'Age of Tomorrow'.  Not really sure if I should be admitting to be doing so.  Yes, age of not edge of.  Watched that too.  This mess is so low budget that it is painfully obvious.  The scenes that take place on the alien world are filmed in a botanical garden.  Then the footage is filtered.  I don't know if they didn't notice or they were hoping no body would, but in multiple shots the little signs that identify plants are obvious.  Not readable but obvious.  Closer to the beginning, there were multi multi reused clips most of which weren't even flipped 180 degrees to make them less noticeable.  Just passed a scene where there is literally silly string on some 'alien' boxes.  Really depressing to see Robert Picardo as a general.  The floating drone ball things aren't consistently sized either.  The walls of the corridor in the alien compound are made of plastic shipping pallets.

OMG so bad.

Hmm, would love to get to Salute but flights from NZ are kind of expensive.

:metoo:  Except western Canada in place of NZ.
