Gi6ers' comment made me go back and look again too.  As ever, some awesome work shown here.  Well done.

I like them.  Its clear they are a special unit but they still fit with the rest of the force.

Lovely paintwork. It's running to dwartist levels of naturalism and subtlety

Wow, thanks.  Something I've always aspired to.  I've always wanted to make my figures as life like as possible.  As for limited palette, it was unintentional at first but then it felt like brighter colors would be jarring as the figures progressed.  The light did wash out a few highlights, I still haven't gotten lighting right.  In the way of sparseness, I wanted to convey a sense of hopelessness and the feeling of being alone, as well as a bit of irony, in that the monster is feeling those things.  I thought of adding small things like a sword here a shield there, but I felt like it was dragging on and I was going to get sloppy.  I still may, but don't know for sure.
I'm kinda glad he didn't.
It did occur to me after the fact.  But looking back, by the time it had started, I wouldn't have been able to take proper start pics as the base was already finished and the minis were already dressed in primer.  Maybe next year.

Hopefully not.  I took my inspiration from Erykah Badu actually.

I'd been sitting on the idea since Hayden first came out.  I bought her right away too.  I had to get my cultists finished first.  Then beefcake came out with his dungeon tiles, and I new I had to have the arena, because it matched my vision perfectly.  The whole time I knew that her trousers would be brown and white.  I'm very happy with the whole thing.

I just spent two hours making a very large soup.  Now I have to throw the entire thing in the garbage.  Due to the "heat resistant" measuring cup I was attempting to fill with the soup in order to begin transfering it to the blender, shattering into the pot and all over the kitchen.  I am so ticked, no emoticons can express it.  Not and keep this forum family friendly.

Here is my version of Hayden.  The topless one.  She is about to win another victory, probably quite easily.

Hayden says "I do not fear you, Moo-man!  I made trousers from your mother!"

Big thanks to beefcake for selling me such a cool base.  The base is great, took primer and paint marvellously.  The only prep I did was wash it in warm soapy water first.  Good thing I decided to paint it first.  I usually run out of inspiration by the end of the minis and the base suffers.

Here is my Minotaur.  About to face off against what looks like will be an easy victory (he thinks).  The base is the arena base made by beefcake of FoD fame.

I seem to use a lot of browns...

That aweful period, when you've just finished your latest mini project, and you feel overwhelmed by the lead pile that is crying for love.

This.

Plus...

... you realise you've just bought more...

Absolutely

That aweful period, when you've just finished your latest mini project, and you feel overwhelmed by the lead pile that is crying for love.  With no idea of what to do next, but you have a shelf full of minis in various states of assembly/already in primer staring at you every time you sit down.  Sort of like staring at an avalanche frozen in time, terrifying but so cool.  I think I will focus on just doing some 'single mini on a small base' projects for a while.  Even though I have a squad to add to the Cult of Inevitable Decay sitting on the table with three left to clean and assemble.  They get worked on while paint dries though.

Real world stuff that irks me today though was a forklift/lift-truck, what ever you like to call it, that I had spent the past eight days overhauling, decided that it was no longer going to start, the day after I put it back into service.  What really bugged me was that I had touched no part of the electrical system at all, besides removing the battery.  Then I wasted time changing the starter, when I was sure it wasn't the issue.  Off to the side in my mind I said "I bet it's that stupid relay right there.  It dies every few years."  So I smacked it with a wrench, turned the key, which previously had no result other than the beacon light flashing like it should, and off it went, starting beautifully.  So off I went to the parts store to rustle up a new one.  Now the great dern pig-beast runs like a top and doesn't hesitate when you turn the key.  Why didn't I listen to my instincts and smack the relay from the very start?  Argh.

Very nice, but, dang it the one I just finished is blond too!  Oh well, not repainting mine.  Me likes yers, yes.  I like your painting style in general, cool, and rather unique. :applause:

He's dope, as it were.  Not too fond of the chibi-thing either but your stuff makes it look good.  Almost so that I want to get some of this stuff, but my unfondness overpowers the want quite successfully and I am content to watch you churn out great paint smatterings on different genres of miniatures and game pieces.

Small pleasures today, but still good.  Made good progress on Hasslefree's Hayden (boobie version).  Who is the next step in a little dio I've been working on.  I started the whole thing long ago, and I realise now, I could have entered it in the UDOD as I believe it would have fit the theme.  Oh well.  I hate it when life gets in the way, that and I got my xbox 360 to finally play old games and I got myself hooked on Morrowind again.  There was a few months of paint time gone.  I can't blame hunting season getting in the way this time.  Besides the week I was away in Nov. hunting, I only managed to get out once.  Now that we are mid winter here maybe I can swing more painting time.

Going to get back to painting.  Maybe I can get her finished today.  I'm very close anyway.

Sorry, she will only be available as a resin master but we priced her at normal resin prices because she was essentially a finished up body blank.
 Concubine (d)

That is what I thought.  I would buy Concubine d, goes without saying, even though I did say.

I a damaged person.  I saw more in stock and bought two more :blub: oh well.  Mission accomplished now I will have three master copies.

I'd like a cream of single mini, on a fenris base.

Sorry we don't serve that here.

What about a voting theme...naaaaa forget it.

Yes, its cute, but don't bring it home.

Why is it always me?

I wouldn't sell them, if they were mine.  I once considered what I would sell my cult for if I ever wanted to.  It was a lot of money.  Possibly too much.

Back on topic, about the nekkid version.  She went into the shop today and I was able to snag the last master copy.  Will she be a regular resin figure?  I quite fancy more than one of her.
