I'd personally be quite happy with it, in fact.  Very good job on the rust.  Do not let that boy stop painting. :applause:

Sorry but anyone with some HD foam, a knife, glue and a bitsbox can make one of these too and at a fraction of the FW price to boot.
:yup: :lmao:

He needs some good old ghetto graffiti.  If you need a reference just look up 'graffiti' in google or yahoo images.  Martin if you read this I think your painting style would be awesome for the graffiti golem.  You can make one of these just like Patrick said, instead of giving money to GW.

I think I like these savages the best yet.  I'd love to see some clearer shots.

Yeah I never noticed the bunnies, any of them.  I had to look a couple times to even find the naughty blighters.  As for Andy's note on the neck, maybe a seam that didn't quite fill right?

Scumbore might work here...Yes I think he is definately in the running.  Cut out the club and give him some kind of cloak/sheet thing.  Maybe change the head or not....

I already have a concubine waiting.   She is what gave me the idea.

While I agree that Big Boris 2 is great, I'm not quite sure if he would work for me in this.  Unless I can make him look hunched over a bit.

Look what I found on evilbay

Too bad I don't do vinyl, or pay that much for a model kit. :lmao:

Besides, I don't want the exact thing, I want something similar.

Armor isn't as important as being a big guy.

Questions and Answers / Looking for a Large Warrior.

I am currently on the look out for a large warrior, muscular, doesn't need to be human, but must be humanoid in shape, no bugs, orks, ogres etc are ok, no bugs (no bugs is twice as important as everything else).  Sounds easy right?  It's not.  This warrior must NOT have a weapon in hand or have one easily removeable, and must have both arms down and in front of him.  It isn't as easy as it sounds, I can't find a mini to fit.  Did I mention that he needs to be huge? Maybe even something outside the 28mm range.  Everything I can find is a totally wrong pose.

Here, this is what I want to find

Apple Fanboys.

I registered on a particular forum that is not endorsed/supported by Apple, to voice my frustration about the fact that I sent in my iPod for the program and have gotten no word in two months.

I was immediately quoted by someone who then said something like "God forbid they should give you something for free GTFO"

I responded by telling this person that they may have mis read what I said and that I have gotten no response at all beyond the repair status being changed a month ago, and that maybe they should GTFO, and that the account I used can now be deleted because I don't care about it.

None of my money will ever go to apple.

The FOD companies should get together and make an mp3 player!  It could be the FoDPod!  Made of GS and some of Sally's steampunk clock parts and magnets! :lmao:  I'd give it a sick paint job.

Finished the rusty steel effects today.  There are a couple small bits on some of them that will be made to look like corroded brass/copper.  Skin is yet to be started then there isn't much left on them.

So here are some shots of the first squad of nine guardsmen.  Robes are done, metals have base coat and first metal coat.  They will get a highlight next then rust coat then a bit of another metal highlight.  To make my life hopefully easier, all these guys will get the same skin tone, to match one of the command groups whom they will accompany.  The next squad in line will get the other skin color.  I tried to do the robes by memory from the command groups, but ended up having to redo the last three or so layers, once I put some of the finished cultists in front of me.

General Ranting / Re: Who's going to Salute 2012 then?
« on: January 27, 2012, 02:20:53 AM »
Yes me are goesing.

Atleast, that is what I would be saying if I had no debts and lots of extra money to toss about for flights and such. :hmmm  Unfortunately Salute, like many other shows will likely never be attended by me.  Long way to go from Western Canada to the UK.  Doesn't matter what direction you go in.

General Ranting / Re: Has Anyone Ordered from Trollforged?
« on: January 26, 2012, 05:57:23 AM »
I know this is an old thread but, as I recently placed another order with Trollforged, I thought I would share my experience with others.  The order was shipped on Jan. 14 from Missouri, it arrived in my mailbox today, Jan. 25.  Eight business days to cross the US, enter Canada and then get to me.  In my experience with buying out of the US this time is exceptional.  Ed is great with communications, as they cast on demand, he lets you know when he expects things to ship out.  If they are late, he'll let you know, I even got a freebee this time.

Now I have 9 of thier giant worms, three of each, assembled, six need some gap filling, then it's into the waiting line for paint (which should get finished in the next year  ) among all my dark brethren, and assorted naked ladies.

So, Trollforged: great service, great comms, great castings, awesome casting material, I would not hesitate to order from Ed again.  Except that I am broke now...
