General Ranting / Has Royal Mail Run Aground?
« on: April 29, 2012, 07:31:12 AM »
Has anyone noticed Royal Mail taking longer to achieve anything in the way of progress lately?  I ask because I have a package whose tracking number's status has not changed since April 23.

Your item, posted on 23/04/12 with reference RJhoobajoobGB has been received at our international mail centre and is being made ready for despatch overseas.

Normally such packages arrive in 3-5 business days, seven at the absolute outside, and status is usually updated within two days.  I've also been waiting for another for much longer than normal.

Any thoughts?

Sure you don't want to name him 'Corni Flakesson'

Joking aside that is an utterly brilliant, and from my perspective, completely original idea.

The "expertly painted" when the mini in question has two colors mashed about on it, with a horribly blurry photo.

They have a really nice Macross vibe too...used the Tomahawk as inspiration for them.

I felt the vibe right away, and wondered if they were inspired by Macross.  Although I don't really know if I would ever paint much mecha, they are really cool looking.  Very impressive choice of armaments too.

(I guess you've see the safety films  ).

Yep and seen people sand their finger tips off on stationary sanding machines.  Also I watched as my boss wheeled a woodstove into a trailer on a heavy electric dolly.  He ended up losing his/the dolly's balance and it pulled him down/forward and took the tip of his middle finger off when it hit the ground.

PS:  Enjoy Salute

Today, I am happy that I did not lose my left thumb at work.  Had I been wearing gloves (which technically I should have)it would have gotten caught and I would not have been able to pull away from the bench grinder, which would have then pulled my entire hand in.  I will quite gladly take not having any skin on part of my knuckle over possibly losing my thumb entirely or even use of it.

I got lucky today.  Knock on wood.

A request of people going to Salute:

Think of me and the other FoD members who would like to go but are on the other side of the globe, while you are enjoying the shiney toys and games.  Don't do anything we wouldn't do :lalala:

I must admit that they look as if they were inspired by Azpiri's art work, and that I placed a large order with their store.

It does it for me every time.  It has been that way since the time when I was locked out and was unable to access the FOD from home for months.  I've gotten used to it now, I just hit refresh without thinking about it.

Bid on some old Phoenix Models girlie kits on ebay a couple days ago.  I got out bid, said 'dang, oh well'.  Bids got up over $50 USD, I said 'crap, in two bids?'.  Now for the kicker, and I bet the person who was winning is madder than me.  The owner of the auction cancelled all bids, removed the listing, then relisted immediately with a buy it now of $400 USD.  WTF man?  Is that even evilbay legal?  Tried to report item, they give you a bunch of set reasons for reporting something.  No where in their lists of reasons is anything close to what this person has done. :swear:  Its not like I was going to rebid or anything, its just a massively d0uch3bag move.

No it's not eBay legal. If there are bids on it they have to let the auction run.

Said item is now gone.  All of the sellers listings are gone as well.  Hopefully they got spanked good.  I hope no one here is said seller.

Got my HF order today.  Hayden B is even better in the flesh,.  Thanks for the sweets and the free bag of steampunk parts!  I needed more but decided not to get them this time, then I thought I had ordered them.  Now I think I've got enough for my project.

Thanks Sally and crew, you made my day better!

Yeah but then they file a non paying complaint and I get slapped with a suspension or something and I`m not about to put $400 on the table for something I wasn`t willing to pay more than $30 for.

As stated elsewhere got 27 guardsmen primered.  The converted guys previously posted now have been made totally white as well as the second standard hook-prod squad.

I got some gardening done, mowed the lawn for the second time in a week, burned some rose bush cuttings AND got primer on 27 more tunnel guardsmen with my new Iwata Revolution CR airbrush.  A rather good day for the most part.  Oh yeah, I eated some chocolate too. 8)
