I stopped using CMON and moved to Cheddarmongers for my pic hosting because if your work isn't golden demon first place they call it $h!te.  Doesn't matter how hard you worked on it, or how much you've improved, it's still fudge.

Then you come here and get nice comments and suggestions, and if you've done something amazing you get the best comment: 'I hate you'

I don't get anything related to anything I've done.  But then, I don't have a blog, or FB or anything like that.

See, Beefcake, I was wrong.

Has anyone else ever looked up their forum name on google or google images?  I just did and most of what comes up has to do with fishing.  There was one site related to miniatures but it's actually a web comic about wargaming.

Must get back to painting.

I find the Reaper triads to be excellent. Lovely to work with, and they blend really well. Currently my paints of choice.
:metoo:  That is all I own.  With the exception of Testors white primer and some Tamiya clear colors.

I think I've cursed myself.  I've sat down twice now, mixed paint for the steel basecoat on the guardsmen and have gotten a grand total of four out of nine painted, three of them today.  I am really hoping I'm just tired from work.

Beefy, I'm guessing that you will get yours by next Wednesday.  Not that what I say has any bearing on anything, or that I have any idea about anything in regards to overseas shipping.

I got mine and he's bad @$$.  I already have an idea of what to do with him.

I got mine in the mail today!

The shocking thing I discovered is that most people simply don't care whether you're gay or not. They care whether or not you're a decent person,

That is sort of how I was brought up.  I don't feel it's any big deal if someone is gay.  After all, no one makes a big deal out of someone saying they're straight(need a better term for heterosexual).  Looking back, I think my mother was expecting me to be or hoping that I would be gay.  Sorry to disappoint you mom.  My girlfriend/spouse sees things the same way.  Choice of partners is not the point, integrity is what matters.

This has been my two cents.

Best o luck

Having a permanent work space does help.  As soon as we moved in a couple years ago, I hijacked part of the spare bedroom for my addiction.  We've since renovated a bit and have changed the room slightly but I still have my full size dinner table covered in paraphenalia of the craft, so it keeps me happy.  Not that sometimes I don't feel uninspired, I have sat down to paint and just couldn't, but having a permanant place to sit and mull things over is good.  When we decide to start collecting those minis that you have to make and grow yourself (they are loud though), I'll be relegated to the crawl space :blub: so I am really trying to stay motivated.

Wargames factory... They sent the items really late to me

Sounds about right.

So...not ordering from them then

At the risk of ruining it all, I must admit that I am not on a peak at the moment, more like a plateau.  I want to get all the mini's/figures I have waiting out and paint them all at the same time. :boing:  Too bad that isn't possible feasable sensible sane the right way to make anything look good.  So we just totter along.

As promised, here is the koi mermaid I spoke of.  She is an older, quick paint.  I tried to make her more fish like and did a thin white pearl coat over the whole figure.  It came out ok, I guess.  I don't think I spent more than 3 hours total on her and it shows.  Oh well.

Saw the pics on the HF site  looking really butch. :nah:  Not for me but, I bet most other people will like her.  I hope her hair tones her down a little.

Nothing of real import today, just frustrated that I have to repaint the robes of the tunnel guard I am working on.

It's one thing to record the mixtures of paint to make the whole army the same, it is quite another thing entirely to record the manner in which each mixture is applied so that they all look similar. :tantrum:  Atleast I only have to go back about two layers to fix the issue, and not have to start from the begining again.  Ho hum.

Well as of this morning, the item with the tracking number has arrived in Canada, and the other thing I was waiting for was delivered.
