Is that freaky alien skin or flexible suit on her thighs?

Hoping to get this next group done this weekend.  Just have shield designs and bases to do.

That could be a rummage box to take to shows

Better idea than mine by far!

Suggestions (HF) / Martial Artists Specifically Ninjas
« on: July 06, 2012, 04:30:20 AM »
I would like to see some male and female ninjas that aren't totally wrapped up in nothing but cloth with only eyes and hands showing.  Covered up is ok, but some armor, like bracers, shin guards, light body protection.  Light to moderate armor with some character would be nice.  A weapon in hand sneaking around.

Just an idea.

Unless you wanted to use miscasts as sculpting dollies and enjoyed being challenged to make something out of something else.  Just a thought, obviously not everyone thinks like a crazy person.

Just a suggestion, but this bin of miscasts you've got, could you not maybe sell it as conversion bits.  It would be too much to individually code each one but could you not sell them like you do the steampunk parts?  By weight, randomly packaged?  That has got to be quite a fair bit of cash that is going down the drain.  Some of which could be recouped.

Best of luck.

... sometimes you have to pay a lot for what you really want :(

That is SO true! (This from the man who spent 150.00 on a Vampirella statuette earlier this year.)

Gotta have what ya gotta have.

Sorry for tardiness beefy.  This last squad is done except for the faces of their shields (finished the backs yesterday) and bases.

I would have to agree with Gangrel.  Start black and work up to a rich but dark brown.

Worst part of living in Canada.  No toy shows.  I think the closest is Gencon, but don't have the thousand whatever dollars to fly to it.

I worked on one thing all day at work today, pull the engine out of a forklift like this

To get to this and replace it.

This is a flywheel.  The toothed ring around the perimiter is what the starter gear uses to turn the engine to start it.  On the forklift I was working on the ring gear was largely stripped off.  It wasn't quite right from the factory in 2005 and would sometimes not mesh and the starter would just grind the tips off the teeth.  I noticed last year that it was coming due for replacement.  A couple weeks ago there was three days when it would grind 9 times out of 10.  Today we started to pull the engine out to change it and it went really well for the first two hours.  By 10:30 (started at 8 ) we were separating the engine from the transmission, and it wouldn't let go.  Turned out, there was one bolt that could not be seen from any angle, you could only shove your arm down inside and feel it with your finger tips.  It took three hours and custom tool fabrication to get the bolt out.  Before I left at 5pm we had bolted the new flywheel and ring gear on to the engine.  All in all, a very good day, compared with some repair days.  Tomorrow is all reassembly. :woohoo:

I think I'll make a clock out of the old one.

Got stung a few minutes ago.  By something small, black and stingy, while riding home from work.  It hurt, it sucked and was on a really bumpy stretch of road, and I was on my Honda scooter. :swear:  I didn't wipe out though.

That's my gripe of the day.  Not bad considering all I worked on all day at work was pulling the engine out of a forklift like this

To get to this and replace it.

Did he cry?  If not, he's a dimwit and should be moved to the closest desk to the teacher's. :wry:

When I was in high school, we had a survivor come and speak to us about what it was like, the things he'd seen.  It was very upsetting to say the least.

Bleeerruuugh to school.  The last course I took was over in 20hrs.  I have to go write the final test now.  Then I'll have my airbrakes endorsement!  woot.  But that's ok because I don't have to pay for the course, only the final test which is $15.
