That was my first thought too.  I think one day when I have some cash and my lead pile is smaller I might get a bunch of those 'dog face' guys.

Are the thrusters on your pods made from caps from something?  They look really familiar.  Like from glue tubes or something similar.

Very cool stuff.

New pics up in the Heresy gallery.

Heresy / Dark Preacher w/ Flail Troop and Pick Troop Commands
« on: December 10, 2012, 04:26:13 AM »
I had a really hard time getting pics that I liked.  I gave up.  These are the last ones I took, and they came out better than I thought.  I've tied the troop weapons in with the symbol on the banners for these two, and will do with the javelin guys.  Here we go!

First the Pick Command.

Flail Command (banner guy didn't focus well)

Group shot

Trademark!

I'm quite happy with the whole lot of these guys so far.  The pick guys banner has a worm with a beak, while the flails has a spikey head worm.  Not that many more then the whole force is done.  One more squad of guardsmen then a bunch more worms and such.

So, this is part of my fiance's Xmas present.  I've never given someone minis for Christmas.  I know she isn't really into my hobby but she supports me in it.  It keeps me out of her hair sometimes.  So on with the show, after this.  HF's old man portraying me as an old man, with my wife, Reaper's Crazy Cat Lady and cats.  The cat that is on my shoulders is our first current cat.  I got her markings and attitude spot on!  The cat in the lady's arm is our other cat.  She was really hard to figure out how to do.  In the end I went with the general impression and artistic license.  Tortoishell is about impossible on something so small.  The other cats are just random color schemes.

Hope you like.

There are two cats in the back, a grey and a brownish.  Funny thing is, as I'm posting this, I am wearing about the same color sweater in the mini as in real life. :yup:

Finally got my order for her in.

1092
I broached the topic with her the other day.  She didn't seem too keen.  Today on the way home from the grocery, I told her that if she was really stuck for what to give me, she could take the box I got today (Azaroth) and the other things that should be here soon, and wrap them up and give them to me for christmas.  I told her that it would mean she didn't have to shop or spend any more money as the money is already spent.  It went over better this time.  She liked the idea of not shopping.

Got my Azaroth today.  Might give it to the missus to give to me for christmas because she's really stuck on what to give me, and I don't really want anything but more minis.

I posted in the angry thread so now I have to balance it out.

So yesterday, Nov 30 (as it's still Dec 1 for me), was my other half's birthday.  After taking her out for dinner, I proposed.  She said yes 8)  :lalala:

For today's episode; it's the person or persons who is going around town, vandalising christmas lights and displays.  WTF could possibly cause someone to feel the need to wreck someone else's property for no other reason that to wreck stuff.  If they need to wreck something, I bet their own house is full of stuff to smash.  Or they could smash themselves with a big heavy fry pan.

Ok little rant done now.

I know she does not look like the girl from the old 1984 style Apple advert but she still reminds me of it so something apple related perhaps?

Joanie Gold, something Macintosh, Frannie Smith...
