Well, managed to get the javelin packs mostly painted still have a couple layers to go but they are now attached to the troopers.  Shields are still bare plastic, but they aren't far away.  So darn close, still have to do the banner symbol as well.  I don't think I'll do any emblems on these guy's shields, too small.

That awful moment when you think you're finished, then you realize you still have to paint the shields and javelin packs... :hmmm

Got the skulls and skeleton done, and the first layer of color for the glass bits.  Hope I can finish them off tomorrow.

I really think most anything would have been better.

Completely random and mostly pointless this post, but I feel I need to post it anyway.

So, for some reason just now, I was reminded of what occured, that killed Star Trek for me (not that it matters).  I used to watch ST and liked all of the series' up until Voyager.  When it sort of went south.  I was watching a behind the scenes show (witch are normally cool), and they were discussing script writing.  They were discussing how there was a person or persons whose job it was to create the technical terms part of the script and in place of them in the script it would say '(tech)' until it was scene time.  No big deal right, normally yes.  Not very long after this however I was watching Voyager and for some reason there was a need to confuse some kind of sensors.  Then Harry Kim said he could use an 'Interfere-ametric Pulse'.  WTF is that?!? Seriously!?!?  Couldn't come up with anything better???  Interest in ST officially dead.  Just like that I didn't care if I ever saw any ST again.

This has been my dumb little story.  Hope it brought atleast a wry snicker. :silly

It's two layers.  The first is a thin mix of yellow, green and teal wiped off if too heavy.  Followed by a thin black wash.  Same formula since the first priest I painted.

Woot new pic new year.  Started and finished the bronze bits tonite.

Lets see how much progress I can make before I have to go back to work on the second.

Well, with less than 12 hours before I have to be back at work and needing most of that time for sleep, the progress on this last squad stands thus:  Steel parts done, skin done, robes done, leathers done.  Seeing as how they are mostly steel, robes and skin, that puts them over half way done.  Still have to do bronze parts, bones/skulls, glass parts, javelin shafts and poles, drum and banner design.  Then bases.  More progress pics later if I can.

I was just looking at the bunch in the case yesterday, thinking how cool they look together.  I'll definately do a full force photo shoot when everything is done.  I'm hoping I can have everything finished before my birthday.  I only have four 'squads' left to do.

Her left hand is supposed to be up to her hair, but I messed it up so just left it as if she were reaching up to run her hand through her hair.

New pic!  Robes done.

150mm, Parth.

Also, as I discovered this morning, apparently OOP.  Good thing I got one, always wanted one since I first saw it.

Well I've decided to share her.  I painted her in Nov 2011.  Very happy with the end result.  Skin and chaps are airbrushed.  Everything else is hand brushed.  Photos are old too so may not be great.  Got her for a pittance too, compared to retail price.

Enjoy the show!

I think purple would be really cool.  Like this:

Wouldn't do yellow as a belly color though, maybe white or really pale purple.

Thanks!  I think so too.

So, started robes.  First three layers done.

Sounds sweet, keen to see what happens.

Not too bad a photo.  Taken with a phone.

Any way, this is one of the javelin troops, with all the steel parts finished.  The other 11 squad memebers are in the background, ready for the next color.
