Jeez the ghoul is up to £5.50 with over a day still to go, they could have three for that price  :scratchhead:

Edit: Just noticed the gangers are creeping up a bit as well, not to mention that Fallen One.

I was kind of wondering why the forum sections have gone a bit mad and mixed up.

Nice, it'll be interesting to see what difference larger teeth make though. (In before "All the better to eat you with!  muahahahaha")

Actually there is an eBay seller called Huddersfield Games I've bought from him before so this guy ain't him (unless there's multiple which is possible given the name is based on the place).

Have you ever considered starting an eBay store for the publicity Andy? You can put the prices a bit higher to make up for the fees and do the occasional low low starting price bargain. Off course an invoice accompanied with "Thanks for buying check out heresyminiatures.com where you pick up my range for a bit less!" would be a nice touch, unless you want to keep reeling in the eBay crowd who seem to be eager to part with their cash.  :drevil2:

Looking good so far. I really couldn't bring myself to completely paint the faces on my minis so early in the paint job, guaranteed I'd end up ruining it at a later stage. The cold hard light of day does tend to take the sheen off my paint jobs as well though they look passable under a 60w bulb.  :(

Seems some folk are willing to pay much more than Andy's prices for Painless Joe.

The seller doesn't describe it as rare or anything but he's not exactly providing a major amount of details neither. Wonder if he's sending 'em in heresy blisters as the buyer might have a little google and get a tad upset.

Well, it's also possible to trim the tab itself to a thin peg under the foot (hoof).

Yeah some of the bases have a deep enough sculpt that I might even get away with leaving a bit of the tab and pinning through that

Yeah pinning was what I was thinking I just thought maybe there was some magical method which I was unaware of.

I have some pretty heavy duty 1mm wire I could use but my worry is the hooves are quite dainty and there's not really enough of a straight bit on most if you get what I mean, essentially just the hoove before you hit the other side as the ankle slopes back. Well I guess the best I can do is give it a try though given the generally poor casting quality of the Gamezone minis it's going to take me a while to clean and put them together anyway.

As for the pin vice it was one the first things I bought from the "Honest Andy's". I used to play Warmachine so I always had pin vices for the massive jacks but they just seem to sprout legs and dissapear.  :?

Questions and Answers / Getting miniatures on sculpted bases
« on: May 21, 2009, 06:42:20 PM »
I recently picked up some mounted vampire knights and thought they deserved a bit of special attention so I've decided to mount them on some resin cavalry bases I have. I've never attempted to mount a mini on anything other than a slotta base and these seem like they'll be particularly tricky. The bases on the whole aren't exactly flat and have a lot going on while the horses are all essentially balanced on one leg with a small slotta tab.

Does anyone have any advice on the best way of going about this?

Am I a bad nerd for not knowing what those things are? I see them everywhere, and I have no idea

Love the grymn. They look amazing!

I wouldn't worry about it your less a nerd than an Artiste (I can't do the special i on my keyboard for that French flair).

They're Daleks, the most iconic villains from the Doctor Who franchise. I frankly never understood why they were meant to be terrifying nor why they consider themselves the pinnacle of perfection.  :scratchhead:

An awesome idea and I must say it's the first of me seeing those Grymn Judges, spot on I have to say.  :D

Random Chat / Re: Size of Narbrott?
« on: May 17, 2009, 07:11:07 PM »
Well I don't own the mini but I don't think it's overly large, looking at the images (and the price). Andy doesn't do square bases bigger than 25mm so I'm guessing that's what he's based on. You can also see him along side the Necromancer which is a regular 28mm mini so I reckon the cyclops is around 40-50mm tall but I'm only guessing.

 Sweet lord, I may have to reconsider my decision to avoid massive projects like dragons.

Sweet, don't currently have any of the trenchcoat gang as I'm looking to get other minis out of the way first but they're more than likely something I'll be picking up in future.

I'd love to but 100 is too much for me at the moment  :blub: I'd immediately sign up for a 50GBP version though...

Your in luck then, there is a £50 version  :D

It sounds like a good idea if your trying to get cash quickly and I'd certainly make the investment. I agree with what Catinator said, you might get more take up on the offer if the credits were in a smaller denomination such as £50. You could either do all credits at £50 (being worth £75 in stock) or have the £100 credits still and have lower value credits give less value in the great tradition of encouraging more spending  :D. Though the book keeping involved with option 2 would probably be more hassle than it's worth.  :scratchhead:

Libertee's Miscellaneous Musings II / Re: Really fancy......

That was the idea, people get very defensive over salad cream for some unknown reason.

The reason is simple, salad cream is good while mayo is nothing but jumped up egg sauce.

it's the same ingredients in different quantities  :D

Really? I always thought that salad cream had vinegar or some such to give it flavour. Mayo to me tastes fairly flavourless just like eating egg whites without the yolk. Ironically I know that mayo is made with the yolks and not the whites.  :scratchhead:

Will his head be interchangable like the other Blights? Somehow I can't see him having the same character with one of the other heads, might just be me.

General Ranting / Re: The best lines from spam...
« on: May 01, 2009, 09:37:12 PM »
It's a real shame I don't get the headline style spam from a few months ago, they were very funny. Unfortunately all I get now is the standard "enhancement" pill adverts though even they have potential.

"Your woman will be shocked by your fang's astonishing progress!" - Fangs? Werewolf transformation fetish?
"Your rocket can fly higher! - You can make your love bombardment last for hours!" - Kudos for sticking to a theme  :P

Oh wait I was mistaken!  :D

"Prince Charles proved gayness!" - No idea
"Star's hairy armpits!" - Not sure who they're trying to ensnare there?
"Top 20 taped deathes[sic]" - Ok now it's getting creepy.

Well I certainly need to check them more now that the occasionally chuckle worthy one is arriving again.  :D

General Ranting / Re: Serious question about Swine flu
« on: April 30, 2009, 09:31:01 AM »
Not a single case here in Italy, we aren't afraid for now. We have really a lot of controls about food (this flu cannot be passed via people, you must eat contamined pig meat - or so I read).
FRESHHHH MEAT!!

Nope the point is this flu isn't technically swine flu anymore (a mixture of human, pig and bird strains apparently) and is being passed between humans. Folk returning from trips to Mexico have passed it to relatives and friends. That said, as has been said above, there's no reason to panic at this point but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Being new here and all it's the first of me seeing this dragon and I have to say it's mighty impressive. The window/portal idea adds a bit of character beyond it being a bust.
