we are also bringing Jenny along to help us out and smile at you so sweetly with her gorgeous blue eyes that you wont even feel your wallet leaving your pockets!!!

I can well believe it.  
I was out with my little girl the other day and she wanted to go on one of those kids rides in the shopping centre, i told her i didnt have any change on me so she proceeded to walk behind me and take my wallet out of my pocket! She's only 2 years old

Glow-in-the-dark kids are so much easier to handle in the evening

Not too mention easier to find when it's time for bed...

and theyre ecologically friendly as you save electric on not needing a nightlight

Is it me or does he look very "Scottish".Also the blue tattoos remind me so much of those fine Geal figures from a certain manufacturer that I cant quite put a name to at the moment.

on a side note, i've been looking to try out some of the Vallejo range largely because they are cheaper (the wages from the paper round just dont stretch as far as they used to ) so any idea links or suggestions of where i can get them?

if your Vallejo paints are more expensive than GW's then your definitely buying them from the wrong place.
Vallejo = more paint for cheaper

Tamiya I won't use again, unless I'm painting in the garden! Can't stand the smell. I've never been impressed by the coverage either.

i dont mind the smell myself reminds me of when i was a kid painting model planes and stuff.
whereas i wouldnt use them for everything i did buy some clear red for using for blood.

i bought the full set of Vallejo game colour as i prefer the dropper bottles and the colours are pretty much the same as GW's, i use Gw inks (dont really like the vallejo ones) i also have some vallejo model colour which i would buy the whole set if i had the cash as for me these are THE best quality paints out there even if they do take quite a bit of shaking.

Whoa! Ben you paintings going from strength to strength  
the fact that the back of the model is so nicely done off sets the gore covered frontage  
love the flesh tones and the tattoo on his arm is pure class.

I've been wanting to paint htis mini form the second she cam through the letter box and I even started on trying to convert her to carry a gun right away... needless to say the conversion didn't work (though I left her left hand more open anyway) and it was on with the painting

i used the right hand for the gun    though cutting and drilling out the holster was a pain

remember her?

PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT ON HER AS I'M JUST PUTTING HER IN TO SHOW WHAT I DID THIS THREADS FOR BEN'S

I have finally got her to the stage where I am happy with the paint scheme, but I still think I need to work on "leather" techniques and any hints would be much appreciated

i think youve nailed it pretty well matey  
only thing i can think of is to maybe give the black a thin brown wash to give it a slight brown sheen but thats more for older leather anyway

In the meantime please let me know what you think

IMO the face is one of the best you have done and you have the art of painting black down to a T.

i can feel your pain, when i was painting up the Tunnel dweller the ammount of times i slipped and dropped him only to have my reflex's automatically catch him (OUCH!) my hand looked like a pin cushion by the time i finished him.
