been working so not much chance to paint
but got a bit done on his axe tonight, its not finished yet still a bit of work to do on the metals (and not forgetting some TCR )
should get the axe finished tomorrow and also get started on the sword.
anyone got any suggestions as to what colour to do the whip.
I was thinking either Green, Purple or firey
any suggestions (not only these 3)?

the skin is AMAZING!!!!
so smooth and realistsic, loving the Parrogon (parrot/dragon) too.
im not to keen on the hair either, not that theres anything wrong with it it just seems to be out of place with the rest of the piece.

well thats the main bit done (still blood to add at the end )




the more observant of you might notice the small rock added under the knife.
Unfortunately because of the sheer ammount of handling during painting (yes Chris you were right it would have been easier to leave the arm off ) the ankle joint started to weaken again (would have been fine if i had done it in the first place) so i had to balance it off a bit, its not really a problem as there was going to be a few rocks on the base anyway
so just 3 weapons and the base to go, i can see the light at the end of the tunnel

been away for the weekend so havnt done much more on him, did some work on the spines last night but couldnt be bothered setting up the camera but should (hopefully) get the spines finished tonight and i'll post a shot
then just the weapons and the base to go

the weapons are still a bit undecided at the min, i was thinking a green or grey for the whip the sword i was thinking of doing the hilt/skull bit bone with a very bright firey blade (red to orange to yellow)
either that or just go for a bright metalic sword and lashings of TCR

doesnt help the lamp drowning out the highlights.

Dont worry about me overtaking you.
My NL2 (Brian) jump off the mantlepiece last night.

Thats a fractured tail, one broken spine and one bent spine. For a 3 1/2 foot drop onto hardwood flooring I call that a lucky escape.

i know your pain i managed to break one of the BIG spines off while painting last night (glad it wasnt painted yet)

I had 3 Hasslefree zombie hunters next to him at the time and they were untouched..........
I wonder if they pushed him.

definitely sounds suspicious to me, i'd question those Zombie hunters

Done a little bit more on it last night, mainly just the little skulls and such and the blades on the weapon hilts.


really just all the spines (toenails and fingernails too) to do (oh theres soooo many of them!)
then the base and the weapons and i'll FINALLY be finished
Keep in mind there's still a little bit of TCR to ba added here and there to the heads and things  
unfortunately ive got work for the next 3 nights and a wedding to goto at the weekend so thats means it'll be Sunday before i can get back to him (damn real life interfering again!)
