The werewolf is a nice model, saw it at Colours 2008, was very tempted.

.....and if my memory serves me right, the werewolf may be getting a female rider!!!!!! :paranoid2:

Human Werewolf (I suspect the Grymn one would be similar, coming from the same stable  :drevil2:)

Picked these six figures up at Newbury Colours 2008 for 50p each.

On base marked as 1991 GAZ

Anyone know who made them, an obvious influence from another company!

Just went onto the coolminis site, noticed their new figure and thought - Steve Buddle sculpt - and yes, reading the blurb confirmed. Nice one Steve

Open faced.

An average/ good modeller should be able to convert to full visor, but good scupting skills would be needed to convert visor to a face!

I hope to be there on one of the days, with my boy bleeding me dry of spare cash

General Ranting / Re: Another typical workbench?

Three weeks later, it still looks the same, and no painting has been done (although my boy and I have built a group of GW bloodletters, I have cleaned up and modified some confrontation figures and primed some Spyglass stuff!)

Recently, I have been thinking about the 'audience' that all four FOD companies are reaching, and I am amazed that you keep trading. From the Forum, it appears that the same twenty/thirty people are actively encouraging new figures, but are they then buying your products? (may be that others lurk and 'secretly' buy without posting - I know I have in the past?). Are there other targeted markets (others have mentioned posting on other forums)

Is the problem a limited market, or reaching a the larger market? I personally don't think it is a quality issue, or a price issue.

Who actually buys your products - figure painters, wargammers, role-players, lead collectors?

Is it just that the likes of GW have a good market that is blissfully unaware of other good products (and no, this is not a swipe at GW, they have their market and they know how to keep it (and some of their products are good)). Also, GW do kind of prohibit other manufacturers products in their official games!

I don't know the answers, but maybe others on the forum may come up with other avenues of maketing that may be cost effective?????

Having seen Kev's workbench in the Hasslefree Eye Candy section, I don't feel my workbench is so bad, although my wife may disagree

The only other downside, is that most of the projects are very old, and I know will never get finished  :whaaa:

Yeah, I know, stop taking photos and do so modelmaking  :erm:

I use Dettol (for plastic or metal figures) or liquid poly cement (metal figures only)

Still use gloves, dettol stinks!

Squires do loads of modelling stuff by mail order from their catalogue. You can get their latest catalogue by phoning or e-mailing them and asking, that easy!

Their web details are: -

I like the Kettenkraftrad conversion.  :applause:

May I suggest that the back hand rails are removed and replaced with solid plasticard, lose the jerry cans (too obviously German WWII in my view), and remove the stowed tarpaulin.

The Goliath is good as it is

Noticed that Tamiya have released another 1/48 kit (which will probably be commandeered by the Grymn squads for conversion), but was it separated at birth!!!!

Nice one :D

I've been meaning to re-do Maria.

It was resolved on page one, but you were all enjoying yourselves so I left you to it

What was the point of this thread again?

That is neither a chaos chick nor a kiddie.

Just for that you have to make BOTH poses.  :whip:
( Slightly different hair and you can say they were twins.  :silly )

If not both poses, the second version, looking back over shoulder

From my posting in another topic: -

Any chance of some Grymn tank grenadiers? Either advancing behind the tank, in support, or sitting/perched on turret and back, riding into battle.

Loads of images of WWII panzers with grenadiers on the net for inspiration!
