Great work :D  I think the small brush strokes give him a distinctive character!

Yeah, I thought that. Looks like some of the comic art I've got. Very sweet

It sorta looks ace but the images are a bit pixilated on my computer, all nasty raggedy square edges so it's spoiling it. If I squint it looks brilliant  :D

There are too many to really come up with one. Taking Andy's advice to some extent I cut it down to the first few that came into my head:

The GW Imperial Dwarf leader with the little duckie on his helm sculpted by the Perrys I think.
Dionne (the original) and Mjolnir and Zombie Suzi all from Hasslefree.
Heresy Dr. Hugh.
Zahnn the dark elf (soon to be) from Spyglass.
Grenadier Dracolisk.

PIMPWARNING!!!

One thing that helped me with faces was buying some of the Hasslefree headsprues and using them as reference. Since they concentrate on the face and lack disturbing features that get in the way (like hair or headwear for instance) thry're great for getting a picture of how heads in that scale should look.

I've been trying to use the Hasslefree and Reaper armatures for much the same thing. It turns out I still suck no matter how much help I get :)
I must persevere and if that doesn't work, I'll try again.

What I'm doing at the moment is stacking shelves at Tesco.
But I'm a qualified (and experienced) marine biologist, with a B.Sc. in Marine Biology and a Masters degree in Marine and Fisheries Science.
What I used to do was a fisheries biologist for the government but I became a Civil Service cut after the last election :(
I also have A levels in Art, Design and business management and some ONC module in woodcarving or other. I'm a mixed old beastie :)

i had double vision that day and can't remember a thing

Yup, that's drunk. Did you mysteriously believe, against all the evidence, that you could sing? That's the final symptom of drunkeness  :D
Cheers!

I thought it was ace. RBF are so good live. The support wasn't bad either, (Sonic Boom 6 and Streetlight Manifesto) although I suspect Mancunians shouldn't rap. Ever. But a bouncy, pink-haired, anime voiced lead singer can drive the bad rap vibes away again quickly. I'm trying to dig my old RBF albums out again but I have a suspicion my brother has "borrowed" them.

I'm hoping to get mine well on the way to completion by next week. She's waiting for her undercoat now.

Libertee's Miscellaneous Musings II / Re: things that really p** you off
« on: February 18, 2008, 11:13:15 AM »
Hi  gi6ers. You have different types of teeth because you are a mammal, not because you are designed to eat meat. Horses have canine teeth called 'wolf teeth' because they too are mammals, not because they eat meat.

That's not strictly true. Mammalian teeth are as adaptable as the rest of the body plan. Dolphins' (and most toothed whales) all have the same shaped teeth, save for those which use teeth for things other than eating. All teeth in mammals are there for a reason not just because we are mammals (wolf teeth are used by wild horses for fighting), although some may be relict. However, if you want to argue vegetarianism vs. body plan I have to point out we have a digestive system set up for omnivory and with a high emphasis on eating meat. Our intestines are too short to correctly digest most plant matter efficiently, we don't have extra stomachs, we don't have a caecum or an enlarged appendix, our digestive enzymes are primed towards simple sugars and proteins and we lack the ability to synthesize about half the amino acids we need, the primary sources of these amino acids being meat. We're designed for omnivory, in truth a mix of frugivory and carnivory, like chimps. Being vegetarian is fine as a social choice, as a taste preference or as a reaction to allergies/conditions and such like, do as you will (or need to), that's fine, but don't argue any biological prerogative into it because that is wrong.

Inspiration comes from beer and being drunk most of the time

Ah, beer. The finest inspirational nectar.
I may have to dust my airbrush off after this.

Reel Big Fish? Dammit... how did I miss that?

There should still be tickets.  Lastg time I saw them it was at the academy as well, I didn't know anything about them and it is still one of the most enjoyable gigs I've ever been too (and I've seen quite a few bands now).

Thanks for the heads-up, Debs. Got myself a ticket for Monday.

More nice work! I've just had to dunk my Kendra in the stripper bucket after a skin tone disaster so that recipe may come in very useful.

Favourite song from a film has to be My Beloved Monster (Eels) from Shrek. Love the film as well

Very jealous of Caerban going to see Eels as I've never seen them live (and have no funds at the mo).

Do go and see them when you can, this is my 3rd time and they're ace. Also one of my favourite tracks is "I Need Some Sleep" by Eels from the Shrek 2 soundtrack :)
