I have no idea where I put it... :?

Did he get deposed by factions in the Senate whilst you weren't looking? ;)

I remember you've said before you say "gigers", but in my head I can't help but say "gifers".  Sorry, Gifers ;)

@Andy: Tell me to get lost if you want, but I wondered how the pre-orders are going for the dragon?

I don't think I've ever seen an office full of Cold War missile silo control consoles before.
No?! I have a lot of red buttons on my desk...

Does your company manufacture them? ;)

Duly bookmarked.  Thanks weareblind.

I dont think I could watch the helicopter scene while flying.

Got to be better than watching "A Perfect Storm" whilst flying into Boston at night.  That was dumb of me.

 :tsk: Ah, you old drinker of acid-and-rusty wine! Of course it matters!!!

No at all, sir!  I prefer a far more satisfying tipple!! Although a touch of the acidic is quite necessary, I assure you! ;)

Thought the Fridge got there first.

5.35 for the 40? How long did it take him to stop at the other end? The phrase "runaway train" comes to mind.

Not quite.  William Perry was only about 380 max and four inches shorter than Gibson, at only 6'2".  He was, however, much more successfull and much more famous! :D  Perhaps because of his charm, and that he also played fullback in the red zone as well as being a successful defensive linemen, he scored slightly less than a handful of touchdowns, including one in the SuperBowl that he won with the Bears.  YouTube.

When you watch clips of him, a 300+ running back is a great sight to see, so long as you're not on the D-line!!  I know that I wouldn't want to be the one to slow him down! ;)

Anyway, I'm starting to go well off topic now.  Sorry about that.

Ah, what wine?

Kev said it came from a box, so does it matter?

I recently bought Cloverfield from Amazon for £3, at the same time as Trumpton, co-incidentally, which I'm buying for my two-year old's b'day, which I was inspired to buy as I've been painting Kindred (strange chain of events, eh, what?).  Not watched it yet, but I think I am going to have to this weekend, now!  Thanks for the review, Kev! :)

It seems a little bit sleepy!

Of course he does!  To do a weareblind, and quote the famous philosopher and owner of the Philadelphia Soul Area Football League team:

Quote from: Jon Bon Jovi
Gonna live while Im alive
Ill sleep when Im dead

;)

@Steve: Great work, he looks awesome!  I think the characatured dimensions suit this figure excellently!

The coach is keeping a close eye in case that guy eats him.

Hey, look.  It's CH.  Hullo CH. :D

I didn't notice that, but he does look a little like CH :D

Actually Aaron Gibson is rather larger than CH!!  He started his NFL career in 1999 as a 370lb (26 and a half stone : 170kgs) offensive tackle and was drafted by the Lions partly because of his impressive time of 5.35 seconds over 40 yards - pretty good for such a large gentleman.

In 2002 with the Cowboys he became the NFL's first ever 400+ pound player, maxing at around 420lbs (30 stone : 190kgs).  So he might be looking to eat a coach! ;)

I read the news yesterday when it was posted on the Reaper forum.

I couldn't get it out of my head all night last night, and still can't :(  I find it difficult becuase our baby daughter was really very sick for some time and you just can't help but think ... think about stuff I don't want to write down :(

ordered last night, addicted, yup and i just dont care.

It is by will alone I set my order in motion. It is by the use of Paypal that thoughts acquire speed, the Libby acquires orders. The orders become a warning. It is by will alone I set my order in motion.

I have this image of a short dwarf or halfling standing surround by huge players in my head (but google doesn't provide!)

Like this?

As for a coach in a suit, I just don't think that the miniature would be differentiated enough from any other guy in a suit to make it a FF coach.

do you know i saw the coach pics above and the first thing i thought was "Kev will like the blonde with the orange t-shirt on...."!

You know, as I was searching the internet for pictures of Mr Belichick, the first thing I saw was the blonde with the orange t-shirt on and through "Kev will like that" :D

Wouldn't that be a perfect role for a FF Libby?

:metoo:  But if you want a different suggestion ...

I don't hold with all of this suits and ties and "trenchcoats you could hide a shotgun in" cr*p for sports coaches these days.  I prefer my coaches to dress casual, like Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots:

Even if he does look like Elliot from ET, sometimes:

First HF mini I painted and I was also very pleased when I noticed that someone at HF had quietly added my version to the HF Gallery on the QT :) http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/gallery.php?photo_id=955&gallery_id=27

Mike's service provider on www.customhobby.com was becomming increasingly unreliable and he changed providers.  I know he's not been able to do any work on the Custom Hobby business recently, and wants to re-work the website, but I'm not sure why he's let the domain go.

The forum is still available at http://www.customhobbyforum.com/

I love that giant, sits on top of our bookcase in the lounge.

I'm starting to dislike that giant.  He's been sat on my painting table half-finished since the beginning of last summer!
