I got dumped last night from the FOD

edit:
Like I just have from CH forum.... Internal Server Error

Process limit exceeded for uid 11081 [24 >= 24].

I get this specific error when I'm doing other stuff on CH's site, basically every time I try to access more than four files at once.  IE seems to have a problem with more than 4 simulataneous accesses of one website for me.  When it is properly not working I get the 25 >= 24 error.

That is exactly the kind of thing that got me hooked on sci-fi as a young man ;)

Thanks wildheart, they also look a lot more like the actual mini, too! :)

And I take is as a complement to my freehand painting that you recognised it as the Virgin V :)

If this were a different forum, I would have so many responses to that, CH ...

You're not the only person who has said that they look like the guys from V.  I'm gonna have to take that as a compliment, even if they were rodent-eating reptile nazis :)

I guess when I've finished all five, I'm going to need to model some big old tubing so that they can steal all of Earth's water!

I can feel a CombatZone scenario forming already :)

:metoo: I like human-sized demons.  Just because they are the same size, doesn't make them any less terrible.

I also love the gi6ers idea of smaller things as well.  Some of the most horrible demon-type things are tiny - like the scarabs in The Mummy or the bore worms in Flash Gorden :)  Actually, they're not demons are they?  Well, you know what I mean! :D

Lighter photo - thanks to Wristy for his assistance ... click on the photo for a link to the big version!!

@wildheart: The emblem on the shoulderpad is a V symbol a bit like the one for this company, as I've painted this guy (and I've nearly finished the others) to fit in with my Virgin MegaCorp force for a near-future game which is sold by a company with an E, and an M and a 4 in its name :)

Edit: Replaced pic with an even better image: image I replaced is still here.

:metoo: That is exactly what I would have said, ink! :)

These sizes are only slightly taller than what you tend to find in the NFL, anyway!

That logo looks really great, Mirlo :)  I agree that it gives a great feeling of black scorpion.

I can't wait to see the banner at the next show I get to!

How about covering him in a ridiculous amount of iron railing, like the stuff they melted down during the war?

Nah, come to think of it, someone else did that and it didn't quite work ... but I can't think who it was ... :D

Sorry, didn't mean to start anything, <snip>......

S'ok, you didn't start anything   It's all good fun   Re your question - yup that's a good representation of the primer. It think it's got a slightly better key than the GW primer and as I mentioned earlier, its cheaper which is always good in my books  :D

Thanks Toosh, I shall have to "invest" in some, then :D

Sorry, didn't mean to start anything, just wondering if that was a good pic of what the grey primer looks like.  I forgot to get some when I was there this weekend, damn!

So, are you making a DoD, Avicenna? :)

Excellent, I'm always nervous with plasticene.  Glad it is coming out well :D

I don't think using the card is cheating, it's just sensible! :D

Is that the oft-quoted Halfords Grey Primer, then?

Nice, Toosh :)

How is the plasticene holding up under the primer?  I usually need to seal it with liquid polystyrene cement to give it a hard shell before I can prime it.

Fair enough :)  I don't know if she is into sci-fi as well as fantasy, but I've got at least 20 of the old ICE Space Rangers that I am never going to paint, the ones you can still get from em4:
http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/Science_Fiction.html

I promise not to be offended if she doesn't want them, but if she does, drop me a PM :)
