Hey there guys, I can't speak for other models but, as far as Maika goes, I understand there is a good reason for the delays. While she's currently available in resin, two delicate points on her sword have proved prone to breaking when she is removed from the mold. One is right down near the tip of the blade as it reaches the tab. It had a slight tendency to break off just above the tip in a way that made it really awkward to fix. The sword hilt itself is delicate towards the top. I believe another feather may be added to help support the more delicate end of the hilt.

If there are delays for Maika I believe it's with good reason. I don't know anything about the mystic panda restock 'though.

The funny thing is I thought that there was far more votes for the Fantasy types (the ogre and male version of Luna in particular)

Oh there are now but that wasn't quite the case when I posted. I suppose the joke went straight over Inso's head. I was implying that people who are really into modern guns are already quite interested in technology and therefore more likely to be on facebook :p.

It may be that I am the only person in the world not on Facebook

You're not the only one. I quite like the look of some of these. Many, to be precise. Of course the boring guys with modern guns are getting too many votes. It's almost as if the gun nuts are all into technology and using face book or something :p.

Judging by the pictures I'd say someone's been looking at Privateer Press' Protectorate faction's art style then doing manga fan art :p. Especially from the first picture. Not so much Protectorate style in the second one.

I thought she was supposed to be holding far less sciffy stuff in her hands :(. She was supposed to have a tall hat too (brimmed, but not pointed), a sword and pistol. The sword may very well be a sabre. Then she was going to get the sciffy options. I just didn't expect them to be sculpted first :(.

The videos are set to public viewing once again. I might need to tweak the first one ever so slightly as I'm not quite happy with the results but it'll do for now :).

The video appears to be set to 'private'? Won't let me see it!

Sorry Andy. I set them to private while I work out a way to blur out my name and address on the top of the box lid. I'll see if I can sling them in drop box and give you a download link sometime later.

Also - Probably a bit late now. But was it really wise to show your address?
You know, four seconds into watching the video to make sure it had uploaded properly I began to wonder the exact same thing.

Not quite yet :).

The intro was semi planned. I thought through it once, didn't repeat, practice or rehearse etc. For the rest I was pretty much winging it. If I do any future videos I definitely need to be more aware that the lens is off centre to the left and stick stuff further to the left than I did this time 'round.

Well people, my Dragon arrived today and I decided to do you all a treat and upload my first youtube video ever. As luck would have it my camera's memory card was full of a load of old photos and it stopped recording about 5 minutes in so I went and archived them all before filming the rest of it.

Hope you folks enjoy the spectacle :).

Here's a link to part 1.

And here's a link to part 2.

Just can't like the females he does though, mostly due to subject matter.

Likewise. They can get pretty gratuitous but one or two of the fantasy ones are decently clothed.

Dragons up to number 80 in the original queue packed/shipped. Next up is number 81, which is Balgin's...

I'd better check for that email then.

Suggestions (HF) / Armoured knight: Sir Richard in Maille
« on: June 17, 2014, 07:52:30 AM »
Now I originally suggested this in the Heresy suggestions forum. Andy liked the idea but says he simply hasn't got time.

I'm not a football fan. Don't fancy it really. It's just not my thing. However I recently came across a video for a football song from 2010 that has resurfaced recently. An aging knight armoured in maille who happens to be unexpectedly left handed and likes to give rousing speeches. Ideally he would not be sculpted in a combat pose but would rather be speaking passionately and probably gesturing drammatically, sword still in it's sheath. I like the fact that he's in maille rather than plate (and also it's a suitable pun on the actor's surname). He could almost be an inspiring ancestor of Gwen and Olwyn. I can almost hear him now. "Once more onto the base dear paint to fill up this void of empty space...."

Why did I suggest it to Heresy first? Well while I'm sure Kev would do a cracking sculpt if he wanted to I could also see this armoured gentleman fitting in quite well with the Heresy style (and the little dancing Michael Jackson zombie they already sell).

Now this might not be the best video out there, it might not be a good song, but it seems a fitting tribute to one who has amused us for many years and is almost prophetic as he comes stepping out of the past in a haze of light only to eventually fade away when his work is done. If he should happen to be accompanied by a crooning Enya lookalike who magically materialises out of his shield to encourage him on to further feats of valour then I would not complain either :).

Rick Mayall's noble england video.

Good idea, but I wish I had the time to do ANY new models at the moment. You would not believe how much I have to spend doing the dragon stuff.

Oh I can imagine. I'm still waiting for mine.

Ideas for New Heresy Models / Armoured knight: Sir Richard in Maille
« on: June 12, 2014, 06:58:16 PM »
Now we know that Andy's done at least one topical miniature in recent years. Here's an idea for another one (inspired by a video that I recently came across) that's also pretty topical. An aging knight armoured in maille who happens to be unexpectedly left handed and likes to give rousing speeches. I could easily see him fitting into a Netherhells adventuring group.

Now this might not be the best video out there, it might not be a good song, but it seems a fitting tribute to one who has amused us for many years and is almost prophetic as he comes stepping out of the past in a haze of light only to eventually fade away when his work is done.
